Deputies say they're investigating NW Harris County neighbor dispute that sent bullets flying

A brazen fight between neighbors in northwest Harris County escalated into a violent shooting that left three people injured and bullets flying in multiple directions. The Houston Police Department said it was called to the scene around 2 a.m. after reports of a disturbance, where officers found bullet casings scattered all over.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a verbal altercation between guests at one residence led to the confrontation, but the exact cause of the fight remains unclear. Two people were shot and taken to the hospital, where they are in stable condition. A third person was also injured.

The authorities did not release any information on the identities or backgrounds of those involved, except that a fourth individual who was not hurt fled the scene. Deputies tracked him down and arrested him for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. However, it's unlikely he is the only one facing charges - hospital patients could also be implicated.

Sheriff's Office officials confirmed that over 20 bullet casings were collected as evidence from around the neighborhood, including lodged into two homes. The close proximity of the houses made it possible for bullets to fly in multiple directions, posing a significant risk to bystanders.

Fortunately, none of the injured victims sustained life-threatening wounds, but investigators are concerned about how quickly the situation escalated into a violent and destructive confrontation. A neighbor's surveillance camera may hold answers on what sparked the fight and who should be held accountable.

man... this is just crazy! 🤯 like what sets people off to violence in their own neighborhood? it's so sad that three people got hurt, and the fact that there were bullets flying everywhere makes me think they could've been hit by more than one person... how does someone not try to defuse a situation like that? anyway, glad the police were able to show up and stop whatever was going on, but ugh it's just another example of how hard it is for law enforcement to prevent these kinds of situations from happening in the first place 💔

😕 just heard about this crazy fight in Houston that left 3 people hurt 🤕. I mean, 20 bullet casings?!? That's insane! 😲 How can one thing escalate into a full-blown shootout like that? I'm so glad no one was seriously hurt, but those kids are gonna be having nightmares for a long time 💔. The fact that the cops found evidence of at least one more person being involved is wild 🤯. Can't wait to see what the surveillance footage reveals 👀. One thing's for sure, I'm not going near that neighborhood till they figure out who was behind it 🏠💥.

this is so crazy... like literally bullets flying everywhere 🤯 - 3 people injured & they could've been killed 🚑💔 it's super scary to think about how quickly things escalated into a violent fight... and now there's a whole investigation going on, hoping the neighbor's camera caught something that can help figure out what happened 😕 - if that guy who got arrested is indeed just a small part of the story, you know, we might see more charges come down the pipe ⚖️ it's crazy how fast this situation went from a "disturbance" to an actual shooting 🎯 - hopefully those who were hurt are gonna be okay & everyone involved gets some answers 🤞

Ugh, this is just so depressing 🙁... Remember when we used to know our neighbors and they'd have block parties or barbecues? Nowadays, it feels like everyone's too busy with their own stuff to even acknowledge each other's presence. And then you got a situation where people start shooting at each other over some stupid fight... It's just crazy 🤯. I'm glad no one died, but three people injured is still way too much. And that fourth guy who was arrested? He's probably lucky he wasn't the target of the bullets himself. I mean, what's wrong with these young folks today? No respect for each other's safety... It's like they're all just looking out for number one and don't care about anyone else. 🙄

🤯 I mean, can you even believe this is happening in our own backyard?! It's like, we're living in some sort of crazy movie where people just go around shooting each other over stupid stuff 🎥. And what's with these neighborhoods in Harris County, it's like they have a revolving door for drama 💔. Three people get shot, multiple bullets flying everywhere... it's just not right.

And the fact that a fourth person was arrested but I'm sure there are more to come is just wild 🤯. I mean, what's going on with our community? We should be able to live in peace without some random fight breaking out and turning into a shootout 💥. It's like we're neglecting the issues and just covering them up instead of addressing them.

And can someone please tell me about this surveillance camera that caught all the action? 🤔 I need to know what sparked this whole thing so we can learn from it and prevent something like this from happening again. We need to talk about this, folks! Let's not sweep it under the rug 💪.

Ugh, this is crazy 🤯! Can't believe three people were shot and injured in such a short amount of time...like, what even happens here? 😩 Anyways, it's just so sad that these 20 bullet casings were found scattered all over the place - hope everyone stays safe from now on. It's wild how quickly things escalated into violence...don't know about the surveillance camera footage but hopefully it'll help figure out who's responsible and why this happened 🤔

another night in america... 🤦‍♂️ bullets flying everywhere... sounds like some folks just can't chill at a party no more. i mean, what's the deal with these neighborhoods? are they all gonna need some sort of neighborhood watch group or something? 🤔 and btw, 20 bullet casings is a lot for one night... maybe we should invest in some bullet-proof windows or somethin' 😂 anyway, glad no one got hurt too badly... i guess.
