I don’t usually comment but... I think it’s kinda weird that we need a law to make cops show their faces while they do their job. Like, isn't that just common sense?
But at the same time, I can see why some people would be upset if they're not sure who's behind the mask. It’s all about trust and accountability, right?
I mean, I've seen videos of cops in masks during immigration enforcement raids and it does look pretty suspicious. And yeah, Alex Pretti’s death was a major wake-up call for a lot of people. So maybe this law is a good idea to prevent something like that from happening again.
But what really got me thinking is the fact that there are already cities passing similar laws in other states... and it's all because of concerns about transparency and accountability in policing. It’s not just about the masks, it’s about making sure the public knows who they're dealing with.
