Detroit finally has a RoboCop statue - Detroit Metro Times

OMG, I'm so stoked that finally! 😆 It's crazy how long this project took, like 15 years?! 🤯 And to think it all started with a random tweet back in 2011. Anyway, the statue looks EPIC and I can already imagine all the fans taking sick pics in front of it. But seriously, Detroit needed something to boost morale after all the struggles they've been through. RoboCop's iconic status is gonna bring some serious coolness vibes to the city. And btw, the fact that a crowdfunding campaign was able to raise enough cash to make this happen shows that people are willing to come together for a good cause. The plaque with QR code linking to more info about the statue is also super smart, can't wait to check it out! 👍
 
just had to check out this new robocop statue in detroit 🤖🎉 i mean its been a long time coming but it was def worth the wait its so cool to see him standing tall outside 3434 russell street. cant believe how much effort went into making it, from crowdfunding to getting major contributors like omni consumer products. and that plaque with the qr code is such a neat touch 📱👍 anyway, i think its awesome that detroit finally has a piece of its own pop culture history 🤘

And can you believe Pete Hottelet and Omni Consumer Products chipped in to support the project? 💸 That's what I call fandom at its finest! 😊 Now, I'm literally imagining RoboCop patrolling the streets of Detroit, bringing justice to all the citizens 🚔💪. It's about time this city got some recognition for being the birthplace of this iconic character 🎉

I MEAN, WHO DOESN'T LOVE A GOOD STORY ABOUT A POLICE OFFICER TURNED CYBERNETIC LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER?????? I RECENTLY VISITED DETROIT WITH MY FRIENDS AND WE COULDN'T BELIEVE OUR EYES WHEN WE SAW ROBOCOP TALLING OVER THE CITY STREET!!!!! IT'S SUCH A ICONIC SYMBOL OF DETERMINATION AND COURAGE!!!! I HOPE FANS FROM ALL OVER CAN COME AND PAY THEIR RESPECTS TO THIS AMAZING CHARACTER!!!!!!!
 
omg i'm so hyped for detroit getting its own roboCop statue 🤖😆 it's been like forever since people were talking about making this happen and to finally see it come together is just amazing! i remember when i was younger and my dad took me to see the original movie and how much of an impact it had on him... now to have a physical representation of that in his hometown must mean so much to him 💕 i'm also super curious about the fact that it's not just a statue but also comes with more info online 🤔
 
I'm so hyped for this new addition in Detroit! I mean, who wouldn't want to see a massive bronze statue of their favorite sci-fi hero? 15 years of planning is crazy, but it's worth it to see this beauty shining bright. I love how it all came together - crowdfunding, community support, and some cool corporate sponsorships. Now, I just hope they make sure to add some interactive elements for fans so we can take sick pics with RoboCop 🤖📸. It's about time Detroit gets its statue, and I'm stoked to see how it'll become a tourist hotspot!
