Aww man... I feel bad for those poor maintenance folks having to take down their new giant US flag so soon . I mean, 10-20 mph winds ain't that bad, right? It's like my grandma always says, 'You can't control the weather, just roll with it.' Hopefully they can get some better conditions soon and get that flag back up where it belongs . Still, it's pretty cool that Detroit has such a long history of proudly displaying their American flag - it's like a symbol of unity for the whole city .
awww dont worry dets those strong winds cant keep a good thing down lol the new flag is def gonna be epic once its back up 141 feet x 85 feet is insane! i can just imagine it flying high over woodward ave, giving everyone a giant american smile lets hope the weather cools down soon so we can see that beauty again
omg u can believe dat!! dets flag sails away in breezy conditions lol! like whats the point of havin a giant flag if its just gonna get blown away by a lil wind? but for real, detroit has a rich history w/ the american flag & it's pretty cool 2 see them try again. gotta say tho, 141 feet by 85 feet is some crazy size tho...
ugh i feel for detroit... they must've spent so much time and effort making that thing and now its just floating away anyway, 141 feet by 85 feet is still pretty massive... hope it gets reinstalled soon so we can see it in all its glory
man that's crazy i mean who expects a giant american flag to fly away in detroit? 10-20 mph winds are nothing for a banner that big. but you gotta respect the city's commitment to celebrating america and stuff. it's cool that they're willing to make the hasty decision and then reattach it when the weather improves. i guess it's just one of those things that happens in detroit, right? the fact that the new flag is believed to be the largest hanging us flag in the country is pretty wild too
