Doctor Who lives on! But who will be the new Time Lord – and is it goodbye to Russell T Davies?

🤔 I think the BBC's decision to revive Doctor Who for a 2026 special and new series is a good move, especially after that last season's decline in ratings 📺. The show has such a dedicated fanbase, and with Russell T Davies back on board, they'll likely be able to get things back on track 💡.

However, I do wonder if the show needs to shake things up a bit - maybe introduce some new characters or storylines that will appeal to both families and younger viewers 🤝. With the rise of other sci-fi series out there, Doctor Who needs to stay relevant and fresh if it wants to keep its place in pop culture 🔥.

And omg, can we talk about Ncuti Gatwa's departure? I mean, I know he had some production issues, but didn't they just get everything sorted out last minute or something? 🤷‍♂️ It's all a bit confusing, to be honest...

🤞 I'm so hyped about this revival news!!! 10 years without the Doctor and it's finally happening! 🚀💥 I'm loving the fact that Russell T Davies is back at the helm to write the script for the Christmas special, fingers crossed he sticks around as showrunner too! 🙏 The animated series for preschoolers sounds like a great idea, more kids will get introduced to the Whoniverse! 👧🏽👦🏻 It's crazy how much drama surrounded Ncuti Gatwa's departure but I think this revival will breathe new life into the show. 💪 Let's hope it'll tackle some of those issues like budget and fan expectations, Doctor Who needs a fresh start! 🔄

I don't know how long this thing can keep going 🤔... they're reviving it already? I mean, didn't we just say goodbye to the 15th Doctor? And now they're gonna bring back Billie Piper as the new one? Like what's next? They need to figure out what's gone wrong with the show instead of just throwing more money at it 💸... and don't even get me started on the budget, £10m per episode? that's insane! 🤑
