DoorDash to pay $18 million to settle City Hall lawsuit

Man, can you believe DoorDash got away with this stuff for so long? 😒 I mean, $18 million is a pretty sweet payout, but like, four years ago? That's some delayed justice right there... 🕰️ The Chicago Fee was a major thing back in the day - who knew it was such a sneaky way to make more cash off customers? And the whole tipping thing? Forget about it! 😂 It's just crazy that DoorDash got away with basically nickel-and-diming their customers and drivers for so long.

But you know what's even crazier? The fact that this settlement came after another company, like, 6 years ago... 🤯 That's some serious backtracking right there. Illinois is finally stepping up to hold these companies accountable, and it's about time. Small businesses and workers deserve better than to be taken advantage of by corporate giants.

It's a shame we had to wait this long for DoorDash to own up to their mistakes - but I guess that's just the way it goes sometimes. The $4 million in credits is nice, but like... it's not going to change the past or make up for all the harm they caused. Still, I'm glad to see some justice being served! 👍
