Dracapella review – power ballads and beatboxing as ghoulish comedy gets down for the count

omg I just saw Dracapella last night 🦇🎶 and I'm still grinning from ear to ear! I mean, who wouldn't love a show that's all about poking fun at vampire cliches while still celebrating their campy charm? 🤣 the cast is literally hilarious and the beatboxing is on point 💥 Ciarán Dowd, Philip Pope, and Keala Settle are absolute comedic geniuses - I died laughing during the power ballad scene 😂. minor quibble aside, the arrangements of 80s classics are SO well done 🎶 and the show just feels like a big ol' party in a spooky castle 🎉 can't wait to see what ABH Beatbox does next! 💥

OMG u guys, I just saw Dracapella & it was literally the most fun i've had at the theatre in ages 🤩!!! Dan Patterson's vocals are insane, like who knew beatboxing could be so sexy?! 😏 and Ciarán Dowd is just perfection as the lovelorn vampire - his comedic timing is on point 💁‍♂️. I was giggling so hard during the "Crazy" number 🎶😂. And can we talk about ABH Beatbox's sound effects? Like, what sorcery is this?! 🔮💥. My only gripe is that some of the songs felt a bit like they were tacked on - but overall, it was just such a joyous romp through the world of Dracula 🦇😄.
