Dubai Invitational: Rory McIlroy reflects on 'good week' and discusses areas for improvement ahead of Hero Dubai Desert Classic

idk about this, think Rory's just trying to make a statement lol 😂. 3rd place isn't bad, but 2 strokes behind winner Nacho Elvira is still kinda underwhelming considering he's the champ from Masters 2024 🤔. and yeah, fair enough that his short game and putting are improving, but can he actually close out those rounds? or is it just luck that's carried him so far? 🤑

I'm a bit skeptical about this whole "good week" thing from McIlroy 🤔. I mean, he finished 2 strokes behind the winner, that's not exactly a dominant performance if you ask me 😐. And yeah, it was good that he gained experience and can work on his short game and putting, but does he really need to hit more fairways? That's a pretty basic shot, it's not like he's playing with a sledgehammer or something 🤷‍♂️. Also, I'm not convinced that the new TaylorMade irons and golf ball will make all that difference in this tournament. He's won four times before, but that was years ago... what's changed now? 😒

🏌️‍♂️ so rory's having a good week and he's just gonna coast on that for the rest of his career? 4 birdies in 6 holes, yeah sure buddy, but you still managed to shoot 74, what's the plan there? 🤔
