Eagles offensive coordinator search, coach rumor and report tracker

The Philadelphia Eagles are still reeling from their disappointing 2025 season, marked by a lackluster offense that failed to impress. As a result, the team has relieved offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo of his duties, leaving many wondering who will take on this critical role in the coming season.

According to recent reports, the Eagles have expressed interest in interviewing several candidates for the position. At the top of their list is Mike McDaniel, a former head coach of the Miami Dolphins who compiled a 35-33 record over four seasons. While his offense was criticized for stalling during his final year at the helm, McDaniel's experience working under Bill Shanahan could bring a fresh perspective to the Eagles' struggling offense.

Another name being considered is Brian Daboll, a former head coach of the New York Giants who had a 20-40-1 career record. While his tenure was marked by controversy and inconsistent play, Daboll did develop Josh Allen under him as the Bills' offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2021.

The Eagles are also exploring options on the West Coast, having interviewed Kliff Kingsbury, who coached the Arizona Cardinals before being fired in 2025. Additionally, Christian Parker, a defensive pass game coordinator and defensive backs coach with the Eagles, is reportedly interviewing for the open defensive coordinator job with the Dallas Cowboys.

On the coaching circuit, Matt Nagy was recently spotted interviewing with the Eagles, while Zac Robinson, the current Falcons' offensive coordinator, is also being considered for the position. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are expected to hire Dolphins passing game coordinator Bobby Slowik as their new special teams coach.

As the search for an offensive coordinator continues, one thing is clear: the Eagles need someone who can revitalize their offense and bring some much-needed excitement to the team's play-calling. With a number of talented candidates vying for the position, it remains to be seen which one will ultimately secure the job and help lead the Eagles back to relevance.

I mean, I'm not sure if Mike McDaniel is the right guy for the job ๐Ÿค”... I know, I know, he's got some experience under his belt from working with Bill Shanahan, but on the other hand, his offense was pretty stalling in his final year as head coach of the Dolphins ๐Ÿ˜. And then again, Brian Daboll might bring a fresh perspective to the Eagles' struggling offense... wait, no, I'm thinking he had some pretty bad seasons as a head coach ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Ugh, this is giving me a headache! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

And don't even get me started on Kliff Kingsbury, I mean, who let him go from the Cardinals? ๐Ÿšซ... but at the same time, Christian Parker's got some great experience as a defensive backs coach and might be perfect for that open DC job in Dallas ๐Ÿค. But what about Matt Nagy, he's been spotted interviewing with the Eagles... yeah, right, like they'll actually hire him ๐Ÿ˜œ.

I guess one thing is clear though: the Eagles need someone who can revitalize their offense... but if I had my money on it, I'd say Zac Robinson would be a great choice ๐Ÿค‘. But nope, Bobby Slowik's getting hired by the Buccaneers instead? That just doesn't add up ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

I'm so confused! ๐Ÿ˜…

๐Ÿค” just heard about Kevin Patullo getting let go... i dont know if they should go with McDaniel, hes got experience but miami was def not an easy market ๐Ÿ–๏ธ... daboll on the other hand had some wins but was super inconsistent... i think kingsbury could be a good choice tho? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ heard he was pretty innovative in arizona... also dont know if matt nagy would fit well with the eagles style of play ๐Ÿ˜

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how bad their offense was last season ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. I mean, they had all the talent in the world but just couldn't seem to get it together. It's like they were stuck in neutral gear and could never really get into high gear. They need someone with fresh blood and a new perspective to shake things up around there.

I think Mike McDaniel would be a great hire though ๐Ÿค. He has some serious experience under his belt, having worked with Bill Shanahan and all that. And yeah, his offense might have stalled last year but I'm sure he's got the skills to revamp their whole system.

It's crazy how much attention is being put on this coaching search ๐Ÿ“ฃ. Like, it's not just about finding someone to fix their offense, it's about building a whole new identity for the team. Fingers crossed they find someone who can bring some excitement back to Philly! ๐Ÿ’ช

I'm not sure if this is the right move... I mean, Kevin Patullo did have some decent moments last season, even if his offense was pretty streaky. But at the same time, you can't ignore how underwhelming it was overall. Mike McDaniel's got some solid credentials, but has he really adapted to a new system? And what about Daboll - is that guy still got it? I'm not convinced he's the right fit for Philly... maybe they should consider someone like Josh McDaniels, who actually delivered results in his previous role. The thing is, whoever comes in needs to bring some fireworks to that offense or else we're gonna be stuck in neutral again ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿค” I'm so done with this NFL season already! The lackluster offense from the Eagles is literally making me wanna pull my hair out... like what happened? You gotta invest in some talented players or at least have a solid game plan, right?

The thing that's got me curious about Mike McDaniel tho... his experience working under Bill Shanahan should be gold dust for this team. I mean who wouldn't want to hire someone who knows how to get the most out of their QBs? ๐Ÿค“ And yeah, Brian Daboll might have some controversy surrounding him but hey, Josh Allen is a whole different story, and if they can get that kind of magic happening again, maybe they'll finally break through.

But honestly, it's not just about finding one coach... it's about giving the team the resources they need to actually win. More players, better facilities, and for goodness sake, some decent snacks in the locker room would be a great start ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I'm kinda rooting for whoever takes this job - maybe it's McDaniel, Daboll or even Kingsbury? All I know is that this team needs a serious shake-up ASAP! ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’ฅ

I'm so curious about who's gonna take over as the new OC for the Eagles! They really need someone to shake things up on that offense ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ก. I mean, Mike McDaniel seems like a solid choice, all those years under Bill Shanahan should give him some cool ideas ๐Ÿ˜Š. But Brian Daboll? Eh, his track record's a bit sketchy ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. And don't even get me started on Kliff Kingsbury, that guy's got some crazy stories to tell ๐Ÿ˜‚. I hope they find someone who can bring that much-needed excitement to the team's play-calling! The fans are getting restless ๐Ÿ’ฅ. Can't wait to see what happens next ๐Ÿ“บ!

omg u gotta get ur facts straight lol they just fired kevin patullo, not relieved him ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ i know its hard 2 believe but google it, its true. anywayz mcdaniel & daboll r prob the top 2 candidates, they both had issues w/ their o's in da past tho. if u want sum1 w/ experience like mcdaniel, hes def a good pick, but if u wanna shake things up w/ daboll, idk lol maybe kingsbury'll come thru & save da day ๐Ÿคž

๐Ÿค” I think it's crazy how many candidates they got! ๐Ÿคฏ Mike McDaniel is defo an interesting pick tho, working under Bill Shanahan could bring some new energy to their offense ๐Ÿ˜Š. Brian Daboll is also a solid choice, even if his Giants tenure was super rocky ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. What I'm really hoping for is someone who can balance being creative with not completely messing up their plays ๐Ÿ“. It's all about finding that sweet spot where they don't turn the game into a snooze fest ๐Ÿ˜ด. We'll just have to wait and see who ends up as the new OC ๐Ÿ’ก

๐Ÿค” I'm not sure what's more concerning, the lackluster offense or the fact that they're already making changes mid-season... like, shouldn't we have a solid gameplan by now? ๐Ÿˆ But seriously, whoever takes over as OC is gonna have their work cut out for them. We need someone who can spark some creativity and get this team firing on all cylinders again! ๐Ÿ’ช I'm still holding out hope that it's one of the West Coast guys like Kingsbury or Parker... they've got some innovative ideas up their sleeve ๐ŸŒด

The Eagles' new OC is gonna have to bring some real juice to that offense ๐Ÿคฏ. Like, what's the point of having a pro Bowl QB if he's not getting any decent passes downfield? They need someone who can get creative with the playbook and keep the defense guessing โšซ๏ธ. And honestly, I'm not sold on Daboll yet... his record doesn't exactly scream 'game-changer' ๐Ÿค”. Anyone got a better feel for what this team needs? ๐Ÿ˜

Ugh man I feel bad 4 dis Eagles team dey need somethin big 2 shake things up ๐Ÿคฏ dey been stagnant 4 a while now & its affectin de whole team ๐Ÿˆ. Bring in Mike McDaniel or whoever, just please get dem creative play callin skills back ๐Ÿ’ก dey been stale. Dey gotta bring back dat energy & spark ๐Ÿ”ฅ or else dey gonna be stuck in dis mediocrity 4 another year ๐Ÿ˜”

Man, the Eagles are like me after a bad gaming session - stuck in neutral ๐Ÿ˜‚. Who's gonna come in and shake things up? Mike McDaniel or Brian Daboll could be the answer, but then again, I've seen those 'fix-it' guys fail before ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Kliff Kingsbury might not have done it with the Cardinals, but hey, at least he's got experience on the West Coast... maybe he can get some sunshine into that Philly offense โ˜€๏ธ. And on a more serious note (just for a sec, I promise), Christian Parker's gonna be all over it as a defensive coordinator in Dallas... fingers crossed he brings some of that Eagles magic to Big D! ๐Ÿคž

omg ๐Ÿคฏ this season was such a letdown for the eagles i mean who else is gonna come in and fix their offense lol? ๐Ÿ˜‚ i think mcDaniel could bring some much needed excitement but idk about daboll, he had that weird streak with josh allen ๐Ÿค” anyways gotta see what kingsbury can do on west coast ๐ŸŒด

omg u guys can u blive how bad the eagles offense was lol? idk what they r going 2 do 2 fix it but hopefully they hire someone w/ some real ideas 4 now i heard they r considering mclendal n daboll both of whom hv pretty shaky resumes dont get me wrong im all 4 a fresh perspectiv, but u gotta wonder if its worth the risk lol maybe kliff kingsbury cud b da man or who knows maybe christian parker wd bring some real change to dallas

Ugh ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ, another coaching carousel ๐Ÿ”„ and I'm not even convinced it's gonna make a difference. These teams are stuck in a cycle of mediocrity ๐Ÿ“‰ and it's all about trying out new faces instead of actually fixing the underlying issues ๐Ÿ’ก. I mean, Mike McDaniel might have some decent experience under Bill Shanahan, but what's to say his offense won't just be another stalling mess? ๐Ÿค” And what about Brian Daboll's track record? It's not like he's exactly known for his stability ๐Ÿ“Š. Meanwhile, the Eagles are still searching for a defensive coordinator and it feels like they're playing catch-up ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Can't these teams just take a step back and assess what's really going on instead of trying to spin some fancy new coach? ๐Ÿ˜’

The Eagles are in shambles ๐Ÿ’”. Their offense was so boring this year it put fans to sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด. They need someone who can shake things up and bring some life to their play-calling ๐Ÿ”„. I'm not sure if McDaniel or Daboll is the right fit, but at least they've got some experience under their belts ๐Ÿ’ช. Kingsbury could be a dark horse candidate tho, he was pretty innovative in Arizona ๐Ÿค”. Whoever gets the job needs to bring some excitement back to Lincoln Financial Field ๐ŸŸ๏ธ.

Omg, I'm so down for a fresh start on the Eagles offense ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿฆ…! Either McDaniel or Daboll would be a huge upgrade from Patullo's squad ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’”. But honestly, who wouldn't want to join Philly's #EaglesNation and bring some much-needed excitement to the team? ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ฅ I'm loving the West Coast vibes with Kingsbury on the radar ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒด! Whoever lands this job is gonna have a tough act to follow, but I'm all about seeing the Eagles fly high again ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ #FlyEaglesFly #NFL #OffenseRevival

Omg I'm low-key hyped about this coaching change ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿˆ! The Eagles need some serious revamp on their offense, and I think Mike McDaniel could bring that fresh perspective ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ก. His experience working under Bill Shanahan is a major plus โญ๏ธ. Meanwhile, Kliff Kingsbury's been fired from the Cardinals so he's got some ammo ๐Ÿ’ฅ to prove himself. But let's be real, whoever gets the job needs to magic up that offense ๐Ÿ”ฎ. I'm keeping an eye on Brian Daboll too ๐Ÿค” - his track record might not be the best, but Josh Allen's development under him is a major win for the Bills ๐ŸŽฏ! One thing's for sure: the Eagles need someone who can shake things up and bring some excitement back to the game ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Fingers crossed they find that diamond in the rough ๐Ÿ’Ž! #EaglesCoachingSearch #NFLNews

man I'm so done with the eagles right now ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ their offense was straight cringeworthy last season... i think they need someone who's gonna shake things up, like maybe bring in some new blood from another team? mike mcDaniel could be a good choice, he worked under bill shanahan and all that, but then again brian daboll's experience with josh allen might give them a boost too ๐Ÿค”. whoever they pick has gotta bring some excitement to the field tho, can't just keep playing it safe and expecting wins ๐Ÿ˜…
