Eagles power ranking roundup: Week 11

Power Rankings Ladder: Eagles Climb to Top Spot, But Are They Legit?

A plethora of power rankings has emerged after the Eagles' gritty win over Green Bay, with three outlets placing them atop the list. ESPN leads the pack, ranking Philly as number one, while Yahoo and The Athletic also put them at the top. USA Today ranks them fifth, but not before acknowledging that their offense is still "clearly not hitting on all cylinders."

ESPN's decision to crown DeVonta Smith as the team's MVP through the first nine games is well-deserved, given his impressive stats, including 48 catches and 657 receiving yards. However, some might argue that other players, such as Cooper DeJean or Moro Ojomo, have broken out as breakout performers.

Meanwhile, Yahoo highlights the defense's huge night against the Packers, which might be a massive step towards repeating as champions. The Athletic breaks out another defensive player, Cooper DeJean, but Jimmy disagrees, suggesting that Moro Ojomo is playing better this year.

The average power ranking of the six outlets places Philly at 2.7, indicating a steady climb up the ladder after a tumultuous start to the season. Despite some inconsistencies on offense, the Eagles' defense has proven itself time and again, making them a formidable force in the NFC. Will they continue their ascent or will other teams catch up? Only time will tell.

CBS provides its take from the "road win" perspective, noting that the Eagles have been pretty good on the road under Nick Sirianni's leadership. The numbers back this claim up, with Philly boasting a 28-11 regular-season record away from home during his tenure as coach.

In conclusion, power rankings can be subjective and often spark debate among fans. While some outlets rank the Eagles highly, others acknowledge areas for improvement on offense. Nonetheless, one thing is certain: the team's defense has been a rock-solid foundation all season long.

idk about this whole power rankings thing... i mean, espn putting devonta smith as mvp already? he's had some solid games, but is it too early for that? and what about moro ojomo? i think he's been playing way better than coop dejean... and the defense has been looking great, no doubt about that 🤔. but are they legit at the top spot yet? they still have some inconsistencies on offense, you know? and those power rankings can be super subjective... i'm just waiting to see how it all plays out 👀

omg i cant believe espn put devonta smith as mvp already!!! 🤯 he's having an amazing season and it's well deserved but idk if its gonna affect his price tag when free agency hits lol 2.7 power ranking is def legit tho, eagles defense is straight fire 🔥 their last win against green bay was insane what did the athletic say that moro ojomo is playing better this year though? i dont remember him breaking out but maybe im just a noob 😂 anyway im hyped for the rest of the season let's go birds 🐦🏈

Omg I'm so hyped about the Eagles right now 🤩! I know they've had some struggles on offense, but that defense is like 🔒 impenetrable, you feel? I mean, 3 different outlets are putting them at the top of the power rankings and it's easy to see why - they're consistently dominating games. DeVonta Smith is doing his thing and the whole team is gelling together... plus, Moro Ojomo is like my new favorite player 😍! The way they're playing right now is so inspiring, I'm literally on the edge of my seat every time I watch them play. Can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds for these guys 🤞

I'm tellin' ya, these power rankings are wack! 🤦‍♂️ I mean, ESPN puts DeVonta Smith as MVP after 9 games? That's crazy talk! 😂 Cooper DeJean and Moro Ojomo are gettin' robbed of that spot. And what about the defense? Yeah, they're lookin' good, but is it because of the offense strugglin' or 'cause they're actually that good on their own? 🤔 I'm not buyin' into all this hype just yet. The Eagles need to step up their game on both sides of the ball if they wanna stay at the top for real. And don't even get me started on Nick Sirianni's road record... that's still a bit sketchy for my taste 😒.

🤔 I mean, come on, 2.7? That's still kinda low considering how strong their defense is. And yeah, they've had some wins on the road under Sirianni, but let's be real, that's not saying much compared to other teams. 🏈 I think Yahoo and ESPN are being way too generous with their praise for DeVonta Smith and Cooper DeJean - those numbers aren't gonna drop if Philly makes it past the first round of the playoffs! 😬

I'm kinda surprised ESPN put DeVonta Smith as MVP, not saying he hasn't had great games 🤔 but what about all the other guys who have stepped up this year? Like, Cooper DeJean or Moro Ojomo are making some solid cases for themselves too 💡. I think it's cool they're highlighting the defense's performance though, that's definitely been a strong point for the team this season 🏈. But yeah, will they be able to sustain their win streak and stay at the top? That's always gonna be a tough one to call 🤷‍♂️
