Ecuador votes on return of US military bases to tackle drug violence

🤔 just reading about this and I'm thinking it's wild how Ecuador is at a crossroads rn 🌪️ 61% of voters supporting foreign troops comin' back in? it's like, what's the plan after that tho? 🤷‍♂️ will it really solve the violence or just be another band-aid solution? 💉 and have you seen the stats on murders this year? 4,600+ already?! 😱 that's insane. need to see some real change after this referendum 📊

🤔💥 "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." 😳 It's like, what's the point if we just stick our heads in the sand and expect things to get better on their own? 🙄 Ecuador needs some real change, not just a band-aid solution with foreign troops. 💸

I'm sooo down on this whole idea of bringing back foreign military bases. Like, what's next? Invading our homes and telling us how to live our lives? 🤦‍♀️ The thought of some American soldier coming in here and trying to "help" us tackle the problems we've created is just laughable. We don't need some outsider telling us how to solve our own issues. And what's with the referendum being all about security and order? What about economic growth, education, and healthcare? Those are the things that really matter, not just throwing money at a problem. 🤑
