I'm kinda disappointed in Elon Musk right now
. I mean, I love the idea of Optiimus and all, but come on, a robot that can't even handle a simple task like pouring water without making a mess? It's like he's trying to sell us on some sci-fi fairy tale and not actually putting in the work to make it happen
.
And don't even get me started on the whole "teleoperation" thing
. If he can't trust his own technology, how are we supposed to trust him with a billion dollars worth of robots? It's like trying to build a castle on shaky ground
.
I'm all for innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible, but at some point you gotta put in the hard work and make sure your tech is solid before you try to change the world
. Until then, I'll just be over here enjoying my old-school robots that don't have a penchant for making messes

I mean, if he can't even get his own robot to work properly, how can we trust him to create an entire army of humanoid robots by 2040? It just doesn't add up. And what's with the whole "autonomy" thing anyway? Is that just code for "we'll figure it out later"? 
I'm watching this video of Optiimus and it looks like the robot can't even be trusted not to spill water 
And yeah, why would anyone think they could control a robot that's supposed to be autonomous? 
It just makes you wonder if Elon is being genuine about his plans for robots or if he's just trying to get attention 
I mean, if he can't even get the basics right, how will we know when he gets it right? 
... I mean, who needs robots that can't even handle water without making a mess? Anyway, I'm thinking of starting my own garden at home soon... or maybe trying to learn how to make sourdough bread 
. Has anyone tried making sourdough from scratch? It sounds like way more fun than watching robots struggle
