European football: Rashford seals Barça win, Milan edge Roma to join title race

Barcelona's title hopes are back on track with a convincing 3-1 win over Elche, thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres and a late strike from Marcus Rashford. The La Liga leaders trail Real Madrid by five points but remain well-positioned to challenge for the championship.

A dominant performance from Barcelona was helped by defensive errors from Elche in the opening minutes. Yamal scored his first league goal since August 31st, while Torres also got on the scoresheet as Barcelona took a 2-0 lead by halftime. Elche's only response came through Rafa Mir, who reduced the deficit with a quick counter.

Rashford sealed the win for Barcelona in the 61st minute, sending his side back into second place in La Liga. The victory marked a welcome boost to their title bid and highlighted Barcelona's growing confidence under new manager Xavi Hernandez.

In other Spanish league action, AC Milan secured a crucial 1-0 home win over Roma, with Strahinja Pavlovic scoring the only goal of the game. The result tightened the battle for Serie A supremacy, with Napoli holding onto top spot on 22 points.

Meanwhile, in Serie A, Inter claimed a 2-1 victory over Hellas Verona thanks to a late winner from Nicolò Barella. The win marked a dramatic turnaround after Verona had equalized just minutes before halftime.

In the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim moved into the top six with their third consecutive win, as Wouter Burger scored twice in a 3-2 comeback against Wolfsburg. Köln also secured a significant result, routing Hamburg 4-1 and moving up to seventh place.

I'm loving this comeback from Barcelona 🙌! Their performance last night was so dominant, I mean who needs that kind of quality in midfield? 😂 They were on fire, especially with Yamal's goal - it's great to see him getting back into form after a long time without scoring. And Marcus Rashford, what can I say? He just swooped in and got the winner 🤩!

I think this win is going to give them a boost for the rest of the season. They're right back in the mix now and Xavi's got his squad looking super confident. AC Milan's win over Roma was also sweet, gotta love Strahinja Pavlovic's strike 💥! And Inter's turnaround against Hellas Verona? That was pure drama! Barella's goal at the end was insane.

I'm also loving Hoffenheim's recent run - they're totally on fire 🔥 Wouter Burger's got some serious skills and Köln's result over Hamburg is huge. It's getting so exciting in these leagues, can't wait to see what happens next! 🤔

Ugh I'm not buying it... Barcelona's 3-1 win over Elche was way more comfortable than the score suggests 🤔. Like, they were lucky they didn't get destroyed, especially in those first few minutes when Elche was all over them 🚨. And what's with Marcus Rashford on the pitch? He's not even supposed to be playing in La Liga, let alone scoring goals for Barcelona 🤯. It's just so suspicious... and don't even get me started on Xavi's tactics – he's clearly trying to manipulate the referee 🔮. Mark my words, this win is going to come back to haunt them 👀

[Image of Lionel Messi making a funny face]😂👀 Barcelona is back on track! 🚀 Who needs Xavi's tactical genius when you have Lamine Yamal's goal-scoring magic? 🤣 [GIF of Yamal scoring with a funny expression]

[Image of Ferran Torres celebrating with his teammates]🎉 Ferran Torres is the real MVP (Most Valuable Player) for Barcelona right now! 🔥 His second half performance was pure 🔥

[Image of Marcus Rashford holding up 3 fingers, with a surprised expression] Wait, what? 🤯 Marcus Rashford scoring for Barcelona in La Liga? 😂 The King has come to town! 👑

Barcelona's comeback is pretty sweet 🤩. I mean, they had their backsides kicked early on but then just dominated the game. Xavi's tactics are working out and it's great for the team. Marcus Rashford as a midfielder is pure magic ⚽️. I don't get why he was playing there though... anyway, Elche just couldn't handle the pressure and it cost them big time 😅. The other games in La Liga weren't as intense but AC Milan's win over Roma is definitely gonna be crucial for their season. And Inter's win over Verona? Game-changer 💥. Now we're seeing some real title contenders emerge in Serie A. Hoffenheim's winning streak is a great sign and Köln's resurgence is awesome to see ⚽💪

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s crazy how Barcelona was down by one goal with Elche and then turned that around like a switch 🔄💥. And can we talk about Marcus Rashford for a sec? 😂 Like, what's going on with this guy? He pops up at the most unexpected times to score goals 💪🏼. I don’t think anyone saw Ferran Torres joining in on the action too but nice work from him too 🤝! The team's chemistry seems to be clicking and that’s awesome for their title hopes 🎉.

OMG, can you believe that Manchester United's Marcus Rashford is killing it in La Liga right now? 😱 I know he's not typically known for his football skills, but this guy's got some serious talent! 🤯 And Barcelona needed him to score a late winner, talk about a turning point. Their win over Elche was so convincing, it shows they're back on track to challenge Real Madrid for the title.

And AC Milan's win over Roma? 💪 That was huge for them! The battle for Serie A supremacy is heating up and Napoli's still holding onto top spot, but with results like this, everyone's a contender. 😅 I'm loving the drama in all these league games... who knew football could be so exciting again?

Hoffenheim's win over Wolfsburg was insane though 🤯 Wouter Burger scored twice and Köln's thrashing of Hamburg? 😂 that result was epic! La Liga, Serie A, and Bundesliga - it's anyone's game right now, folks! 💥

omg u guys i just saw that barcelona won that big game 🤩 they beat elche 3-1 and now they're like second in la liga again 😂 what's up with ferran torres tho? how did he score two goals? and is marcus rashford for real? 🤯 i love him on man utd btw

omg i was watching this game last night and i'm still trying to figure out who that guy is on barcelona 🤔 is he supposed to be marcus rashford or something? like how did he end up playing for barcelona? 😂 anyway congrats to them for winning and stuff, but i think i'll stick to watching the us open tennis tournament this weekend 🎾👍

omg what a crazy game at camp nou!!! barca is back on track with this sick win over elche lol marcus rashford coming out of nowhere with that goal was insane 🤯💥 i'm loving xavi's tactics, the team looks so confident now 🙌 it's still gonna be a tough battle for the title but barca's got the momentum 💪

i'm also loving the results in serie a and bundesliga AC milan getting that win over roma was huge 🤩 and hoffenheim just took another three points lol they're on fire 🔥 köln too, moving up to seventh place is massive 👍 what do u think about marcus rashford tho? never thought we'd see him scoring in la liga 😂

omg, can't believe barca is back on track 🤯! 5 points behind real madrid but still holding their own 💪, that marcus rashford strike was pure madness 🔥. yamal and torres were unstoppable too, great team performance from xavi's new squad 👏. elche just got thrashed 😳, hope they can bounce back soon. and what a game for ac milan against roma ⚽️, pavlovic's goal was the difference maker! Napoli still on top though 🤔

omg i'm so hyped for barcelona right now 🤩🔵 they're back on track after that convincing win over elche! lamine yamal and ferran torres were absolute fire 🔥💥, and marcus rashford's late strike sealed the deal 😎. it's like xavi hernandez is a total genius manager now 👏. 5 points behind real madrid might seem daunting but barcelona has shown they're not out of the championship mix 🌟. btw, can we talk about ac milan's win over roma? that strahinja pavlovic goal was pure perfection 💯👏!

I'm loving this comeback from Barcelona! They really needed that win to boost their title hopes and it's great to see Xavi's team playing with so much confidence now 🤩😅 Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres were on fire, but Marcus Rashford's late strike was the icing on the cake. I'm curious to see how they'll handle the pressure going forward. Maybe their new manager has finally got them back on track? 👍💪

Umm... I think Barcelona's title hopes are still pretty much up for grabs? 🤔 I mean, they're not exactly dominating like they were a few months ago, but beating Elche 3-1 is definitely a statement win. And yeah, Xavi's management skills are looking up, but can we really count on them to see this thing through to the end? 💔

And what about AC Milan and Roma? I'm not sure if their result was as big of a deal as people make it out to be... 😐 Napoli still has that 22 points lead, so they're pretty much in control of Serie A. But hey, you never know, right? 🤷‍♂️

Inter's win over Hellas Verona is cool and all, but I'm still not convinced they can keep up with Napoli. 😒 And Hoffenheim, yeah they're looking good, but can they keep their momentum going for the rest of the season? ⏱️

🏆💪 just saw the latest news from La Liga and I'm SO stoked for Barcelona 🤩! They're back in the title hunt after that epic 3-1 win over Elche 🎉 Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres did an amazing job, and Marcus Rashford's late goal was pure magic ✨🔮. Xavi Hernandez is really growing on me as a manager 👍 his squad looks super confident now 💥

And in other news, AC Milan getting that crucial 1-0 win over Roma 🙌 is huge for the Serie A title battle! Napoli still holding strong with 22 points 📈 meanwhile Inter and Hellas Verona keeping things interesting in their matchups 😏 Hoffenheim's winning streak is pretty cool 👍 Wouter Burger scoring twice was a game-changer 💥 Köln's win over Hamburg looks like a massive statement 💪 all these results keep me on the edge of my seat 🤯!

I'm LOVING the resurgence of Barca!!! 💥 They really needed that win and now they're back on track! 🙌 Xavi's management skills are ON POINT as you can see, all that hard work is paying off 🤑. And Marcus Rashford coming out of nowhere to score a goal is just MIND-BLOWING 😲, who knew he had it in him?!? The way Elche just gave them 3 goals on a silver platter is CRAZY 🤯! Now they're right back in the title hunt and I couldn't be more EXCITED!!! 💥

Barcelona's comeback is like a breath of fresh air 💨! Seeing them bounce back from their struggles with this convincing win over Elche is a massive confidence booster for Xavi Hernandez's squad 🙌. And let's give it up for Marcus Rashford, who came off the bench and delivered that crucial late strike ⚽️! The guy's got skills for days 🤩. Now they're back in second place with a clear shot at the title – bring it on, guys! 🔥

Ugh 🤦‍♂️, why do they still not have a better streaming quality on the platform? I'm watching this Barcelona game live and it's all pixelated and low-res 📺😒. Can't they just upgrade their servers or something? It's so frustrating when you're trying to enjoy the match and your eyes are squinting at the tiny player graphics. And can we please get a better way to predict player goals and shots on goal? I'm still getting those weird incorrect predictions 🤔. Why not implement a machine learning model that actually learns from actual stats? It's just basic tech, guys! 😊

omg i cant believe barca is back on track!!! 🤩 they were lookin so down but now they're all like yay we got this! 💪 ferran torres and lamaine yamal were on fire with those goals 🚀 and marcus rashford even came off the bench to seal the win 🎉. its defo a boost for their title bid and shows xavi hernandez is doin somethin right 🙌. anyhoo, other than that ac milan just kept it simple and beat roma 1-0 🙄 and inter got a crazy comeback against hellas verona lol what a game! 😂 wouter burger scored 2 goals for hoffenheim and köln crushed hamburg 4-1 btw

Omg I'm loving how Barcelona is getting back on track! 😂 They totally dominated that game against Elche, it was like they were unstoppable 🤯. And can we talk about Marcus Rashford's goal? Like what even is going on with him? 🤦‍♂️ He just jumps onto the pitch and scores goals left and right 🎉.

I'm also loving how Xavi Hernandez is bringing confidence back to Barcelona, it shows in their play 💪. They need that title win so badly and I think they've got a real shot at it now 🔥. AC Milan's win over Roma was a big one too, they're definitely making some noise in Serie A ⚽️.

What's up with Inter Milan though? One game and suddenly they're on fire 🔥💥. I love the drama of those comeback wins, it's like they're feeding off something 🤔. And Hoffenheim's win over Wolfsburg was insane 😱, Wouter Burger must be on fire 🔪!
