EXO Is Releasing New Music: All The Details

EXO to Make Major Return with New Album REVERXE in January 2026

K-pop supergroup EXO is finally back with a bang. After two and a half years of anticipation, the six-member group will release its eighth full-length studio album REVERXE on January 19, 2026, at 6 p.m. KST across all major music platforms.

The album boasts nine tracks that push genre boundaries, blending Atlanta trap drums with heavy metal guitar, EDM synthesizers, and powerful vocals in the title track "Crown." The song's lyrics compare a cherished person to a crown everyone desires, conveying determination to protect them at all costs. This message reflects both EXO's long-awaited return and their confidence in protecting their artistic vision.

REVERXE also features "I'm Home," a winter-themed ballad that the group pre-released on December 14, 2025. Other confirmed tracks include "Moonlight Shadows," "Crazy," and "Suffocate," with details about these songs remaining under wraps ahead of the album's release.

This comeback marks Lay's first major group release since 2018, as he has spent recent years primarily working in China. The return also proceeds without Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiuminβ€”collectively known as EXO-CBXβ€”who are absent due to an ongoing legal dispute with SM Entertainment over revenue sharing and contract transparency.

Despite the lineup changes, the six participating members have reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a powerful comeback. At their December 14 fan meeting "EXO'verse" at Inspire Arena, the group told fans: "We will continue to return to you with even better versions of ourselves. We'll work hard to fill 2026 with EXO."

To celebrate the album release, SM Entertainment will open "REVERXE THE WORLD," a special pop-up store running January 20-27 at The Hyundai Seoul. The installation features a maze-like layout themed after EXO's "Exo Universe" concept, with a "Cube" installation visualizing the members' fictional supernatural powers.

EXO's return comes at a pivotal moment in K-pop, serving as a reminder of second-generation K-pop's enduring influence. With their seventh album *EXIST* becoming their seventh consecutive million-selling album, they prove their commercial staying power despite years of military enlistments and individual activities.

Physical album pre-orders are currently available at various online and offline music retailers globally, with multiple versions available for collectors.

can't wait 4 exo's new album 🎢πŸ”₯ gotta see what kind of crazy sounds they came up with... been outta the loop for a bit but i'm hyped to hear lay back on vocals πŸ’–

OMG OMG OMG!! I'm SO hyped for EXO's comeback!!! πŸ€©πŸŽ‰πŸ’₯ Their new album REVERXE is going to be EPIC!! Nine tracks that blend genres like Atlanta trap drums and heavy metal guitar? YES, PLEASE! 🎸 I love how they're pushing boundaries with their music. And Lay's finally back in the game after his time in China... we missed him so much!!! πŸ™Œ The lineup changes are going to be interesting, but I have no doubt EXO is going to slay regardless of who's missing. Their commitment to delivering a powerful comeback is everything and more πŸ’– Can't wait for January 19th! πŸŽ‰

πŸŽ‰ EXO's comeback is huge, but I think it's a reflection of the changing K-pop landscape πŸ€”. With Lay taking time out to work in China and Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin on hiatus due to a legal dispute, it shows that even with the most popular groups, issues like contract transparency and revenue sharing are still major points of contention 😬.

It's interesting how SM Entertainment is launching this comeback campaign without Chen et al, but at the same time, it feels like they're trying to send a message about resilience and determination πŸ’ͺ. EXO's confidence in protecting their artistic vision says a lot about their commitment to staying true to themselves in an industry that can be super cutthroat 🎯.

Plus, with all these lineup changes, it raises questions about the future of K-pop groups and how they'll adapt 🌈. Will we see more groups breaking up or changing members as they go? Only time will tell πŸ•°οΈ!

omg u guys exo is back in 2026 cant wait to listen to reverxe already got the vibes for moonlight shadows 😍🎢 exos comeback is def a reminder that k-pop is still killing it after all these years πŸ’₯ gotta cop those limited edition merch at REVERXE THE WORLD πŸ›οΈ this album is gonna be fire!!!

🀩 so EXO is back and I'm hyped but also kinda sad that Chen Baekhyun and Xiumin aren't part of this comeback its like their return too πŸ€” i know they're dealing with some legal issues but you can still feel the energy missing from the group now Lay's solo career has been on fire in China but EXO is back and thats what matters πŸ’₯ they've always said they'll make a powerful comeback and boy do they ever have this album pushing genre boundaries its gonna be interesting to see how fans react to new sounds and visuals 🎨 especially with this winter-themed ballad "I'm Home" and the "Cube" installation at the pop-up store i wonder what other surprises they have in store for us 🀫 REVERXE THE WORLD is already giving me major EXO vibes and im here for it πŸ’–

I'm soooo hyped about EXO's return 🀩, but I gotta say, the whole REVERXE thing is gonna be a total snooze-fest 😴. Nine tracks that blend like five different genres? Sounds like a mess to me 🎢. And what's with the lineup changes? Losing Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin is like losing part of EXO itself πŸ‘«. I mean, I know Lay's been working in China, but can't he just come back for this one album? πŸ€”

And don't even get me started on "I'm Home" – a winter-themed ballad? πŸ˜’ Sounds so generic and boring compared to their usual high-energy tracks πŸ’ƒ. Plus, the Cube installation at The Hyundai Seoul is just a fancy way of saying "overpriced merchandise mall" πŸ›οΈ.

I'm surprised SM Entertainment waited this long to make a big comeback. I mean, EXO's been MIA since 2022 and it's already getting hype for their new album 🀯. Nine tracks? That's a lot of experimentation - hope they don't get too out there with the genre mixing, it could be a bit much. Lay's back on the scene and all that's great but still kinda weird he had to leave for so long...

OMG, can't believe EXO is back after 2.5 yrs πŸ€―πŸŽ‰! I'm all about that new album REVERXE, sounds like it's gonna be EPIC πŸ”₯! Those nine tracks blending genres are gonna be a GAME CHANGER πŸš€, especially with the heavy metal guitar and EDM synthesizers... I'm HYPED πŸ˜†! Lay's back too, so that's a bonus πŸ‘. Although, missing Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin is sad πŸ€•. Can't wait for Jan 19th to hit all major music platforms and get my hands on those album versions πŸŽπŸ‘

omg i'm so hyped for EXO's comeback! 🀩 they've been gone for like forever and it feels like we're finally getting the album we deserve - reverxe sounds lit πŸ’₯ i love that they're blending genres and pushing boundaries, can't wait to hear the full tracklist 🎡 and i'm super curious about lay's return... has he got any solo projects cooking? πŸ€” also gotta ask, what's going on with the legal dispute? hope everyone involved is doing okay πŸ’•

OMG u guys EXO is back!!! 🀩 I'm SO hyped for REVERXE - the album title alone sounds so intense πŸ’₯ And that "Crown" song? πŸ”₯ I need it now! The whole concept of a crown representing someone we gotta protect is like, so deep πŸ™ I've been listening to all the teasers and trust me, this album is gonna be EPIC 🀯 I'm also loving how EXO's embracing their individuality - Lay coming back after that China hiatus and the guys making it work with only 6 members... talk about dedication πŸ’ͺ

OMG, I'm so hyped about EXO's comeback! πŸ’₯ They've been MIA for ages and I'm ready to dive back into their discography 🎡 It's interesting that they're going for such a bold sound on REVERXE - it'll be cool to see how it plays out. The fact that Lay is finally making a big group return after taking time off in China is exciting πŸš€ And, fingers crossed, this comeback brings back the magic of their older works like "Growl" and "Power". Can't wait for January 19! πŸŽ‰

Ugh, can't believe they're just gonna release an album in January 2026? Like, what's the point of even having a comeback if it's just gonna be all hype and no substance? πŸ€” The song titles sound pretty cool though, especially "Crown" - I need to hear that one ASAP! 🎡 And Lay's finally back after being MIA for so long... about time he dropped some new music. But, seriously, 9 tracks on an album is a lot... how are they gonna fit all that into one record? It's just too much, you know? πŸ˜…

OMG I'm so stoked about EXO's comeback 🀩! Nine tracks blending genres? That sounds like a masterclass in experimentation. I love that they're pushing boundaries and not afraid to try new things - it's what sets them apart from other K-pop groups. But, gotta say, the lineup changes are kinda sad... losing Chen and Baekhyun is a big deal. Hope everything works out with SM Entertainment tho! 🀞 Can't wait for "REVERXE THE WORLD" to open up, that cube installation sounds insane 😲

I'm telling you, something fishy is going on here πŸ€”. They're releasing a new album in January 2026, but have already been teasing tracks since December... it's like they're trying to test the waters or something πŸ’¦. And what's up with the lineup changes? Lay comes back after being mostly absent from the group, but Chen and others are MIA due to some sort of "legal dispute"... I'm sure there's more to that story than we're being told 🀐. And have you seen those elaborate promotional plans for the album launch? It sounds like they're trying to distract us from something... maybe it's just my conspiracy theorist instincts, but I wouldn't put it past them 😏.

omg have you tried those new matcha-flavored KitKats? πŸͺ😍 i mean idk why they're so popular in korea but they're literally the perfect combo of sweet and grassy. anyway back to exo... i'm kinda sad that chen isn't part of this comeback πŸ€”, he was always my fave dancer. but i guess it's cool that lay is finally getting his chance in a major group again πŸ‘Š

I was just thinking about trying out this new coffee shop downtown that just opened up πŸ€”. They have like, the most amazing matcha lattes, you know? I mean, I'm not even a huge coffee person but their baristas are super friendly and always make sure to get your drink right. I swear, it's like they're speaking my language! πŸ˜‚ Have you guys tried any good coffee spots lately? I've been on the lookout for new places to grab a cuppa while I'm scrolling through socials πŸ“±

😊 I'm so stoked for EXO's comeback! They've been gone for ages and it feels like they're finally back to reclaim their spot in our hearts πŸ’–. The new album REVERXE sounds like an intense, genre-bending ride – I love how they're pushing boundaries with the Atlanta trap drums and EDM synthesizers 🎢. It's also awesome that Lay is back on the scene after a few years away – his vocals are going to bring so much depth to these tracks πŸ’₯.

I'm not surprised they're feeling confident about their artistic vision, though – EXO has always been known for their high standards and dedication to their craft 🀩. It's cool that they've reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a powerful comeback after the lineup changes πŸ™. Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin might not be part of this album, but I'm sure we'll hear from them soon enough πŸŽ‰.

SM Entertainment is doing a great job with the special pop-up store – it's going to be so Instagrammable! πŸ“Έ And yeah, EXO's return comes at an awesome time – they're serving as a reminder of K-pop's enduring influence and staying power πŸ’ͺ. Bring on January 19th and get ready for REVERXE πŸ”₯

I'm super hyped about EXO's comeback 🀩! They've been gone for ages and it feels like forever 😩. I love how they're pushing the boundaries with this new album REVERXE - Atlanta trap drums with heavy metal guitar? That sounds AMAZING πŸ’₯. And I'm so down for a winter-themed ballad "I'm Home" - it's gonna be so cozy 🍡. The lineup changes are a bit sad, but I trust these six members to deliver a powerful comeback πŸ’ͺ. They're already giving me major feels with their promise to return with even better versions of themselves πŸ™Œ. Can't wait to get my hands on the physical album and dive into EXO's universe πŸš€.

the new exo album sounds lit 🀩 i love how they're pushing genre boundaries, blending different styles to create something unique. the title track "Crown" already has me hype 🎢 can't wait to dive into the rest of the tracks... moonlight shadows sounds like a beautiful winter ballad ❀️ but why did chen and the others have to leave due to contract issues πŸ€” still gonna support exo no matter what πŸ’–
