First-ever ‘Miss Palestine’ secures spot in top 30 competing for Miss Universe title

Palestine's First-Ever 'Miss' Makes Top 30 in Miss Universe Competition Despite Secret Marriage Scandal

Nadeen Ayoub, the pioneer of the "Miss Palestine" title, has secured a spot among the top 30 contestants competing for the coveted Miss Universe crown. The announcement came hours after a New York Post exposé revealed her secret marriage to Sharaf Barghouti, son of convicted Palestinian terrorist Marwan Barghouti, who is serving five life sentences in Israel.

The news took a dramatic turn on Thursday evening when Ayoub was eliminated from the competition during the swimsuit round, where she wore a revealing white one-piece and sheer tights. The elimination came despite her impressive performance in previous preliminary competitions, which earned her enough support to secure her spot among the top 30 finalists.

The Miss Universe pageant is scored across various categories, including evening gowns, interviews, and platforms, with participants vying for the title based on their overall presentation. Ayoub's inclusion among the top 30 signifies a notable achievement, as she has outperformed at least 90 other competitors from around the world.

The revelation of Ayoub's secret marriage to Barghouti, obtained by The Post, highlighted a significant controversy surrounding her candidacy. Screenshots and social media posts show that Ayoub had attempted to erase her past marriage from public view, but the New York Post was able to uncover evidence of the relationship. Ayoub and Barghouti have a child together named after the convicted terrorist.

Other countries represented in the top 30 include Mexico, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Costa Rica, Malta, Chile, Canada, Venezuela, Guatemala, Palestine, Nicaragua, France, Paraguay, China, Thailand, Brazil, Rwanda, Côte d'Ivoire, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Bangladesh, Cuba, Japan, Puerto Rico, Netherlands, India, and Guatemala.

🤔 I'm low-key surprised she made it to the top 30 tbh 🤷‍♀️. Like, I know she's got talent and all, but that marriage drama is some juicy stuff 😂. I mean, you can't exactly hide the fact that you're married to a convicted terrorist's son from the world. 💁‍♀️ The Post must've done some serious digging to get those screenshots and social media posts out. 📸

It's like, on one hand, you gotta respect her for pushing through with the pageant despite all this drama 😅. But on the other hand, it raises so many questions about how she handled that whole situation 🤔. Was it a publicity stunt? Did she genuinely try to keep it under wraps? The world is waiting for some answers 💭.

Anyway, congrats to Nadeen on making it to the top 30 🎉! Maybe this is her chance to shine and take away from all the drama surrounding her past 😊. Fingers crossed 👍.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one 🤯. I mean, I get it, everyone's got their own personal struggles and stuff, but come on... a secret marriage to a convicted terrorist's son? That's some wild stuff right there! 😱 And what really takes the cake is that she tried to keep it under wraps, like it was no big deal 🙄. But you know what? Despite all this drama, Nadeen Ayoub still managed to make it to the top 30... I guess that's a testament to her strength and resilience 💪.

I also feel bad for her, you know? She's got a child with Barghouti, so she must be feeling some real pressure right now 🤷‍♀️. And what about her own aspirations and dreams? Is that even on the backburner because of this whole situation? I don't think anyone can really blame her for wanting to pursue her Miss Universe dreams, but at the same time... 😊

man... this is crazy 🤯... i mean nadeen ayoub went from being all about empowering women in palestine to getting booed off stage at the miss universe pageant because of her personal life 💁‍♀️... it's like she thought she was above all that drama, but i guess you can't escape who you are 🤷‍♀️... on one hand, i feel bad for her, but on the other hand, i think this whole thing just highlights how much scrutiny women face in competitive beauty pageants 💔... and let's be real, sharaf barghouti is a bit of a problematic figure, so yeah, that kinda taints her whole achievement 🤦‍♀️... anyway, at least she made it to the top 30, i guess? 🙃

I gotta say, I'm totally on Nadeen's side here 🙅‍♀️. A secret marriage doesn't necessarily disqualify her from being a great Miss Palestine, if you ask me! The pageant's all about presenting yourself in the best light, right? And Ayoub did that in spades – she slayed the swimsuit round like it was no big deal 😏. The fact that Sharaf Barghouti's dad is a convicted terrorist doesn't define her either – we should be judging based on who she is today, not what her past might say about her.

And can we talk about how this controversy just highlights how unfairly women are judged all the time? I mean, if Ayoub was male and had some shady past, he'd be under scrutiny for being a "bad boy" – but because it's Nadeen, she gets roasted for her personal life. It's wild 🤯.

🙄 can't say i'm surprised about nadeen's placement tbh 🤷‍♀️ her whole 'secret marriage' thing just kinda added to the drama of it all 💁‍♀️ and that swimsuit round was lowkey impressive 😂 like, she's definitely got the looks to make it in this competition. and idk what's more shocking - that she got the spot or that some ppl are already salty about her heritage 🙄 anyway, congrats nadeen? 👏

🤔 This is wild... So she was trying to hide her marriage but the media caught on and now she's still in the running for Miss Universe? I mean, it's not fair or right that people were kept in the dark about her personal life, especially when it comes to who you're marrying. But at the same time, it's like... she's still being judged as a person, not just as her marriage. And now that she's out of the competition, I feel bad for her and the whole thing. Maybe this is an opportunity for her to shine in other ways? 🌟

I dont get why she got into Miss Universe in the first place lol 🤷‍♀️ like, what's next? Miss Palestine in the Olympics too? 😂 I'm not even joking, if anyone else had a secret spouse with a convicted terrorist, they'd be kicked out ASAP. How do you think her parents feel about this tho? Like, is she gonna be "Miss Palestine" forever or can she ever go back to normal life? 🤔

🤔 The Miss Universe competition is more than just a beauty pageant – it's about politics too! 🤷‍♀️ Nadeen Ayoub's inclusion in the top 30 despite the controversy surrounding her secret marriage to Marwan Barghouti's son, Sharaf, shows that beauty really does reign supreme... or at least, it can make headlines 😂. What's even more interesting is how Ayoub has outperformed so many other contestants worldwide. It's not just about being a pretty face; you need substance and charm to take home the title.

I think this situation highlights the complexities of our globalized world where personal lives can be under constant scrutiny 🌎. Can we separate an individual's past from their present, or does that impact how they're perceived by others? The beauty pageant might not address these deeper issues directly, but it definitely sparks conversations about identity and politics.

I'm curious to see how the other contestants will react to Ayoub's presence in the top 30. Will there be any fallout, or will this unexpected twist bring some excitement to the competition? 🤞

OMG, can't believe what's happening with Nadeen Ayoub 🤯 She was literally robbed of a spot in the top 30! I mean, she was doing so well before that swimsuit round and now it's like they're trying to mess with her vibe 😒 I don't get why her secret marriage is such a big deal though... like, isn't love love? 🤷‍♀️ And what's up with the whole "erasing" thing? Can't she just own it and be proud of who she is? 💁‍♀️ Anyway, congrats to her for still making it into the top 30, that's no easy feat! 👏

🤔 I'm really surprised that Nadeen Ayoub made it to the top 30 in Miss Universe despite all this drama 🙄. I mean, we knew she was married to some guy who's related to a big-time Palestinian terrorist, but I guess that didn't matter as much when she walked onto that stage 💃🏻. It just goes to show you can do whatever you want and still be a pretty face 😏. And honestly, I don't really get why people are making such a big deal about it 🤷‍♀️. Can we just focus on the pageant now and who's gonna win? 🎉

OMG, this is wild 🤯... I mean, on one hand, Nadeen Ayoub's achievement in becoming the top 30 finalist of Miss Universe is super impressive, considering she's from Palestine and faced a lot of scrutiny due to her marriage to Sharaf Barghouti. It's actually kinda inspiring that she pushed through all the drama 🙌. On the other hand, I gotta wonder how much of this whole thing was just PR stunt 🤔... like, why would someone try to hide their marriage from public view in the first place? And those screenshots of Ayoub and Barghouti's child being named after a convicted terrorist... that's some heavy stuff 😕. Anyway, I guess it's all about the politics of beauty pageants, right? 💁‍♀️

ok so like i just saw the news about nadeen ayoub winning a spot in miss universe despite all the drama surrounding her secret marriage to sharaf barghouti...i gotta say i'm kinda divided about it 🤔 i mean on one hand she's still repping palestine and getting international recognition which is amazing for her people back home, but at the same time its super problematic that she tried to hide the fact that she married a guy with ties to terrorism 🚫 like what kind of message does that send? is she supposed to be some kinda symbol of palestinian empowerment while secretly being involved with someone who's, well, not exactly a saint? 😐
