Florida moves to ban gender-affirming care for minors

omg this is soooo worrying 🤕 i mean florida is like literally trying to stifle the medical progress for trans kids they need access to puberty blockers and hormone treatments or else it's gonna be super hard for them to navigate their transition without any support 🤷‍♀️ it's like, don't they care about the kids' well-being at all?! 🙄 i'm literally shaking with rage right now 😡 and what's with these so-called "medical experts" who think they know better than actual doctors and pediatricians 🚨 dr szilaygi is a total boss for speaking out against this proposal 💁‍♀️ we need more people like her advocating for trans kids' rights 🙌

I dont know about this draft rule in florida, its like theyre trying to turn back the clock on trans kids lives 🤕. I mean, puberty-blocking meds and hormone treatments are lifesavers for some trans youth and its not like doctors are just gonna start giving out these things to anyone who asks...but at the same time, i get why people would be worried about minors getting these types of treatments.

i feel bad for all those kids who have been rejected by their parents or have family members who just dont understand what they're going through. its like theyre being forced to choose between being themselves and having a loving family 🤷‍♀️. florida's lawmakers need to think about the real-world consequences of this rule before they make a decision that could hurt so many people.

and yeah, its another example of republican-controlled states trying to limit lgbtq+ rights...its like, can't we just agree to disagree and move forward instead of trying to erase people who are already marginalized 🤯?
