Framework Laptop 16 (2025 upgrade) review: The RTX 5070 is the star

I gotta say, this new Framework Laptop 16 is pretty cool. The fact that they've added an upgradable discrete GPU option is a huge win for enthusiasts. I mean, who doesn't love the idea of upgrading their laptop's parts in the future? The RTX 5070 is a beast of a GPU and it's awesome to see it paired with those powerful AMD Ryzen CPUs.

But, gotta be real, the cooling system is still kinda wonky. Discrete GPUs can get hot, but Framework needs to iron out some of these issues if they wanna make this laptop perfect for public use. I know, I know, it's a trade-off for having an upgradeable part, but heat and noise are major turn-offs for me.

That being said, the specs are insane! 2560 x 1600 panel with G-Sync? Smooth gaming experience all day long. And the fact that RAM is still expandable up to 86GB? Love it! This laptop's gonna be a hit with pros and enthusiasts alike. It's like Framework listened to our feedback and delivered. Now, let's see if they can keep the heat under control...

the new framework laptop looks super promising 🤔 but i'm still on the fence about that gpu cooling system 😩 it's like they took all the best parts and then held back because of heat and noise concerns 🕳️ i mean, who wants to be stuck at home playing games with a screaming fan? 💻 plus, $1,500 for the base model is pretty steep even for pro users 🤑 what about the other features tho? does the 165hz panel really make that big of a difference? 🤯 and how does it compare to other gaming laptops out there? 🚀

This new GPU from NVIDIA is gonna be a game changer 🤩 I mean, it's crazy to think that discrete GPUs are finally becoming more mainstream in laptops. The power boost and performance difference will be huge for gamers and content creators 🎮💻. At the same time, though, the heat issues with the cooling system kinda dampen the experience - can't have smooth gameplay without some noise from the fans 😐. Still, if you're all about upgrading and tweaking, this laptop might just hit the spot 🔧💸

omg I'm so hyped about the new GPU 😆 it's like, finally something to upgrade from the old Radeon RX 7700S. but yeah, the heat and noise issues kinda suck 🤯 i mean, you can't just leave this thing running in public or anything. and $1,800 is a bit steep for me 💸 but I guess if you're into gaming or AI modeling all day it's worth it? the 165Hz display tho 👀 that's some next-level smoothness right there!
