French Minister Under Fire for Playboy Cover Amid Pension Reform Crisis.
Marlene Schiappa, France's first-ever Gender Equality Minister, has been criticized by members of her own party after appearing on the front cover of Playboy magazine. The thing is, sometimes you gotta do what it takes to make an impact, even if that means going against the status quo. I kinda respect that about her. 
I mean, I'm all for Marlene Schiappa being out and proud about her feminism, but Playboy cover? It just seems so... retro. Reminds me of the old days when women were objectified like that. And I know she was talking about important issues, but still... 
so they're mad at her for being a strong advocate for women's rights and then getting on the cover of playboy to further that cause... sounds like a legit way to me 
but what's with all these double standards? schiappa is still pro women's rights, why can't she express herself however she wants? 
and now it seems like jean luc mélenchon is just mad 'cause he came third in the elections... coincidence or what? 
! So, Marlene Schiappa is getting roasted for being on the cover of Playboy and it's just so... expected? I mean, she's all about women's rights and equality, but come on, France's a country with so much history and culture... wouldn't you think they'd have better things to do than judge her based on a magazine cover? 
Anyway, I think Schiappa handled it pretty coolly on Twitter and Gérald Darmanin did a good job defending her as well... but can we just focus on getting those pension reforms sorted out already? 
. And don't even get me started on the 12-page interview... how much of her actual platform is in there? 
And what's up with the criticism from Prime Minister Borne? Shouldn't she be supporting her own party member instead of piling on? 
. On one hand, Marlene Schiappa is literally fighting for women's rights and all that jazz, which is awesome 
. But then she goes and poses for Playboy magazine, and suddenly everyone's talking about it like it's a huge scandal 
And what's up with Macron and Schiappa going head-to-head over this? Can't they focus on something more important than who can be seen in a magazine?
