French PM pushes through expenditure and income parts of budget

I'm surprised that those socialist MPs didn't go all out against the PM 🤔. I mean, we're talking about a key swing group in French politics here! Anyway, let's take a look at some numbers to put this into perspective...

According to recent polls, support for Lecornu's government has been steadily declining since 2022 ⬇️. Here's a rough timeline:

* Feb 2023: 52% approval rating
* May 2023: 48% approval rating
* Sept 2023: 42% approval rating
* Dec 2023: 40% approval rating

That's a decline of 12% in just 9 months 📉. Meanwhile, the no-confidence votes have been getting more intense:

* Jan 2024: 1st no-confidence vote ( failed to pass 54-46 )
* Mar 2024: 2nd no-confidence vote ( failed to pass 55-45 )
* Today: Lecornu invoked the constitution and pushed through the budget bill 🚀

I think it's safe to say that this move has been a game-changer for Lecornu... or is it? 😉

"Politics is not the art of winning arguments, but the art of finding arguments that can win." 🤔
The PM's bold move has put him in a tricky situation, where he's walked a fine line between pleasing his party and respecting parliament's authority. It's clear that this isn't the end of it – more no-confidence votes are on the horizon, and it'll be interesting to see how things unfold from here 🤯

I'm surprised that those socialist MPs actually banded together with the hard-left and far-right parties against their own party 🤯. It's like they're trying to take down each other from within 😂. I guess even in France, no one is above a good old-fashioned power struggle 💪. What I find interesting is how this might affect Lecornu's chances of becoming the next President of France... will he be able to weather the storm or has he just dug himself into an even deeper hole? 🤔

Man, can't believe what just went down in France 🤯! Lecornu really stepped up to the plate here, using those constitution rules to get his spending plans passed 💸👏 And I gotta say, it's kinda awesome that the socialist MPs showed some backbone and didn't cave to the hard-left and far-right parties on this one 🙌 #FrenchPolitics #BudgetBattle

But for real, though, this is gonna be a wild ride now 😬. Lecornu's gotta navigate these waters carefully if he wants to avoid even more no-confidence votes 💔 And I'm low-key curious how the long-term implications of his actions will play out in the grand scheme of things 🤔📊 #ConstitutionalCrisis #FrenchFuture

🤦‍♂️ what a wild ride france is always good for drama. so seb lecomru just threw a no-confidence vote like it was going out of style 🎉 and somehow managed to not get lynched by parliament 🙅‍♂️ either those socialist MPs or the hard-left and far-right parties playing it cool 😒 who knew voting against no-confidence votes could be so... confidence-building? 🤣 seriously though, this is gonna play out in the coming months and i'm kinda curious to see how things go down 👀
