Game ball, three stars, and snap count analysis: Week 10, Eagles at Packers

In a closely contested matchup, the Philadelphia Eagles edged out the Green Bay Packers with a 27-21 victory. Jalen Hurts, despite struggling at times, led the offense on 63 snaps, completing 15 of 26 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown. He also saw limited action on the ground, rushing five times for 27 yards.

The Eagles' running game was heavily reliant on Saquon Barkley, who carried the ball 22 times for 60 yards. However, his progress was hindered by a Brett Toth holding call that wiped out one of his notable runs. Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby also saw limited action in the backfield.

On the receiving end, DeVonta Smith emerged as the team's top receiver with four catches for 69 yards and an impressive touchdown catch. A.J. Brown saw just three targets, but managed to find the end zone twice despite a relatively low workload. Jahan Dotson and Darius Cooper were both limited in their roles.

The Eagles' tight ends also had a modest game, with Dallas Goedert seeing six targets but only managing 43 yards. Grant Calcaterra's one attempt down the seam was unfortunately underthrown by Hurts.

The offensive line, despite some early concerns about Lane Johnson's injury, managed to protect Hurts for the most part. Jordan Mailata and Landon Dickerson saw significant action alongside Brett Toth, while Fred Johnson played a crucial role in stepping up for an injured teammate.

On the defensive side of the ball, Jaelan Phillips made an immediate impact with 53 snaps played, disrupting the Packers' offense with several pressures and a sack. Vic Fangio's decision to start Phillips was a savvy one, given his impressive preseason performance. Jalyx Hunt also continued his recent surge in productivity, while Nolan Smith returned from injury with a strong showing.

The interior defensive line also shone, with Jalen Carter making significant waves behind the line of scrimmage. Moro Ojomo's intelligence and instincts allowed him to call out a Packers' play that went awry on fourth down.

In the secondary, Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell were tasked with containing Aaron Rodgers, and both performed admirably, with Mitchell consistently covering his man and making several key stops. Reed Blankenship also had a strong game, while Andrew Mukuba's Week 10 win added to his growing list of accolades.

In terms of individual recognition, Nakobe Dean stood out with seven tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble, showcasing his impressive all-around abilities despite dealing with a patellar tendon injury. His play has sparked debate about whether he will be re-signed by the Eagles in 2026.

Overall, the Eagles' win marked an encouraging stretch for a team looking to turn their season around. While there were certainly areas of improvement needed, the squad's collective effort and resilience should earn them some points this week.

I'm so over how hyped people are about Jalen Hurts being our new savior QB 🙄 he's just a game manager with all these big arm plays that somehow magically work out lol I mean have you seen the numbers? 63 snaps and only 15 of 26 completions is not impressive. The whole team is relying on Saquon Barkley to do his thing, which is actually pretty boring to watch. And don't even get me started on DeVonta Smith's touchdown catch 🤦‍♂️ it was literally just a guy running by the defender who had zero chance of catching up.

I don’t usually comment but... the Packers were giving it their all out there! Aaron Rodgers is still putting up crazy numbers, even if they didn't quite come through 🤯. The Eagles' defense was solid, especially with those guys stepping up and making big plays. Nakobe Dean, though injured, showed what he’s capable of on the field 😔. And can we talk about DeVonta Smith’s TD catch? 🤩

the eagles' d-line was on point 🤩, jalen carter was a beast behind the line of scrimmage, but you gotta wonder about nakobe dean's future with the team 🤔, is he gonna be re-signed or will they go in a different direction? i mean, the guy's skills are undeniable, but his injury history is a major concern 😬. and on offense, jalen hurts had some tough moments, but overall he showed some real grit & determination 💪

idk about the eagles being on fire 🔥🔴 they did just beat the packers, but like, what's the big deal? their defense is still pretty average 🤔💪 Nakobe Dean's all-around game is cool and all, but have you seen his injury report 😬💉 if he can't even play a full game without wincing in pain, how reliable can he be?

and don't even get me started on DeVonta Smith 🙄 4 catches for 69 yards? big whoop 🤣 the guy's got some nice highlights, but his game isn't that different from A.J. Brown 🤷‍♂️ and Jahan Dotson.

oh wait, i just remembered, the eagles' win is a good sign for their season 🌞👍 so maybe they're actually onto something here 🤔💭 or maybe not 🤷‍♂️ i mean, there's still plenty of room for improvement before it all falls apart 💥😬

lolol what's up with these teams and their injuries?! Lane Johnson's injury is still a big deal but the Eagles' Oline stepped up and protected Jalen Hurts 🤯. Saquon Barkley was supposed to be a big game changer but got held back by that bogus call 🤬, can't believe the refs ruined his momentum 💔. DeVonta Smith is straight fire though 🔥, he's gonna be my MVP for this game 👏. And what's with the Packers' QB play? Aaron Rodgers can't even get a decent throw downfield 😩. The Eagles' defense is looking solid, I'm loving Nakobe Dean's sack and forced fumble 🎯.

🤩 I'm still reeling from that crazy game, what a nail-biter! I was on the edge of my seat as Jalen Hurts led his team to victory 🏈, despite struggling at times. The Eagles' offense had its ups and downs, but it's clear they have some talented players - Saquon Barkley is one of them! 💪 DeVonta Smith made some clutch plays, and I love how A.J. Brown stepped up when given the chance. 😊

The defense was on fire 🔥, with Jaelan Phillips making a huge impact off the bench 🤯. Nakobe Dean's play has me thinking - can he really be re-signed by the Eagles next year? 🤑 The secondary looked solid too, with Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell keeping Rodgers in check.

One thing that stands out to me is how much this win means for the team right now - they're definitely on a roll! 💥
