Glow-in-the-dark ‘Sleeping Beauty’ ballet coming to Delaware County

A magical production is set to enchant audiences in Delaware County this spring. 'Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty' is a captivating, one-hour retelling of the classic fairy tale that will take place on March 6 at the Media Theatre for the Performing Arts.

This visually stunning ballet fuses traditional choreography with modern lighting effects, transforming the timeless story into an immersive spectacle. The dancers' radiant costumes will shimmer against the darkened stage as they leap and spin to the enchanting music.

Conceived by Fever, this production is directed by María Farelo and Cristian Pérez of Luma Artistas S.L., featuring six talented local dancers who bring both contemporary staging and traditional choreography together in perfect harmony. The show's creators aim to make ballet more accessible and visually dynamic for a broad audience.

The performance will be held on Friday, March 6 at 8:30 p.m. at the Media Theatre for the Performing Arts, located at 104 E State St in Media, PA 19063. Tickets start at $43, offering an affordable opportunity to experience this magical production.

I'm not sure if I'd be stoked about a fancy ballet show 🤔 but I do love that they're trying to make it more accessible and visually dynamic for everyone 🎉. A one-hour show is kinda short, imo, but hey at least the costumes are gonna be lit 💃! The fact that six local dancers are starring in this production is super cool 🙌, but I hope they don't get too lost in all the magic and forget about the actual storytelling 📚. Still, it's always awesome to see people coming together for a good cause 🎟️.

Ugh, I'm skeptical about this "magical" production... 🤔 Think they're just gonna overcharge people for a fancy light show and call it a ballet? The fact that the dancers are local and not actual professional ballerinas is already giving me some doubts 😒. And what's with the modern twist? Are they trying to make the classic fairy tale "cool" or something? I'm sure the music will be cheesy too 🎵...

🤩 I'm so stoked about this! A 'Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty' is just what we need to brighten up our spring days in Delaware County 💫. The idea of traditional choreography fused with modern lighting effects sounds like a total game-changer 🔥. And I love that the creators are trying to make ballet more accessible and visually dynamic for everyone 🌈. It's amazing how six talented local dancers can bring this timeless story into the 21st century in just one hour ⏰. The fact that tickets start at $43 is also super reasonable 💸. I'll definitely be checking out this show on March 6 - who else is with me? 🎟️

OMG 💫🌟 just saw the most magical thing and I'm so down 🤩🎉! A Sleeping Beauty ballet with lights? That sounds like pure magic ✨💫! Can't wait for March 6th 📆👗 to grab my tickets and get all glammed up 💅🏻💃. The fact that they're making ballet more accessible is super cool 🤝🌈, I mean who doesn't love a good dance party? 💃🕺! And six talented dancers? Yaaas, I'm so here for it 😍👏! Gonna treat myself to a night out and enjoy some sparkle ✨💫... can't wait! 🎉

omg 🤩 just read about Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty 🌃👠 and I am SO down 😆 to see it! I mean who doesn't love a good fairy tale? 💫 the idea of traditional choreography meeting modern lighting effects is giving me life 💥💫 I've been to some artsy events before but this one sounds like a total showstopper 🎭👏 I also love that the creators are trying to make ballet more accessible and visually dynamic for everyone 🌈👨‍🎤 tickets are pretty affordable too, which is awesome 💸 can't wait to get my hands on those tix ASAP 🎟️

omg I'm so down for this 🤩 just love a good ballet and Sleeping Beauty is like such a classic tale. been hearing a lot about modern lighting effects in performances lately and sounds like they're going to blow our minds 💥 the idea of traditional choreography meets contemporary staging is really cool too. think it's awesome that they're making ballet more accessible for everyone 🎟️ gotta check this out when it comes around!

I'm not sure if I'm getting too old for these fancy ballet shows 🙃. But hey, if it's gonna be a one-hour thing, that sounds kinda manageable. What really got me though was the price tag - $43? That's pretty steep for what I'd call a "ballet" 🤑. Don't get me wrong, I love the sound of all those dancers leaping around on stage with their fancy costumes... but have they thought about making it more affordable for regular people like me?

this ballet of lights is gonna be lit 🤩🌟 i hope they do a good job with the lighting effects cuz that sounds like it's gonna be super immersive 💡 the fact that they're making ballet more accessible is awesome too 👏 gotta get those people who don't usually go to dance shows or whatever in here 🎟️

I'm not sure if I'm missing something but a one-hour ballet with modern lighting effects is still just ballet right? 🤔 It sounds like they're trying to make it more "magical" and "accessible", which I get, but what's wrong with traditional choreography in the first place? Also, $43 for a ticket might be a bit steep considering it's not exactly a Broadway show 🤑. And another thing, how do they plan on making ballet more accessible to a broad audience if they're still using dancers and traditional staging? Maybe I'm just old-school, but what's wrong with good ol' fashioned storytelling through dialogue and acting? 🤷‍♂️

I'm hyped about 'Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty'! 🌟 It sounds like they're trying something new and fresh with the lighting effects and fusion of traditional choreography with modern style. I love that they're making ballet more accessible for a broader audience too, it's great to see more people interested in classical dance.

But, gotta say, I'm a bit skeptical about the $43 ticket price - that's a bit steep for a one-hour show, even if it is visually stunning 🤑. I'd love to see more affordable options or packages available, especially considering the talent behind this production. Still, can't wait to see it live! 💫

omg i wish my school had something like this 🤩 we always talk about how boring school events can be but a ballet with lights sounds so mesmerizing 🎭 i feel like our school's theater club is kinda stuck in the past they just do the same old plays year after year and dont really try to mix things up 🙄 maybe they should look into something like this for inspiration 🤔

omg u gotta check out 'Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty' in Media this spring 🤩 it's gonna be so lit! they're mixing traditional ballet with modern lighting and costumes... sounds like a total game changer 💥 i love that the creators are trying to make ballet more accessible for everyone, especially ppl who might think it's too fancy 😊 can't wait to see it on march 6 🎉

🤣 Can you believe a whole ballet about sleep? I mean, I'm all for a good snooze, but on stage with sparkly costumes and fancy footwork? Sounds like my grandma's birthday party 🎉💃. But seriously, it sounds like they've got some magic going on (pun intended) by combining old-school choreo with modern lighting effects – I'd pay to see that! Plus, who doesn't love a good fairy tale? The fact that they're making ballet more accessible is awesome too. Maybe this will convert me into a ballet fan... or at least make me appreciate the art of sleeping on stage 😴💤. Anyways, March 6th can't come soon enough – I'm already dreaming of those sparkly costumes 🌟!

I'm hyped for this one! 🎨 A Ballet of Lights sounds like a total game-changer for the performing arts scene in Delaware County. I mean, who doesn't love a good Sleeping Beauty story? The fact that they're fusing traditional choreography with modern lighting effects is genius - it's gonna be like nothing we've ever seen before! 🤯 And six local dancers bringing their A-game to this production? Can't wait to see the magic happen on stage. I'm sold on the idea of making ballet more accessible and visually dynamic for a broad audience too... it's about time we make this art form cool again! 😎

OMG, I'm so down for this ballet production 🤩! The idea of combining traditional choreography with modern lighting effects is genius 💡. I've always been a fan of ballet, but it can be quite formal and intimidating sometimes 😴. This 'Ballet of Lights' sounds like the perfect way to bring it into the 21st century 🔥. And yay for making ballet more accessible to a wider audience 👏! I'm definitely going to look into getting tickets ASAP 🎟️. Have you ever been to a ballet performance? What was your favorite part about it? 🤔

omg a ballet that's literally lit 🤩 can't wait to see those dancers slaying their moves with some sick lights 💥 and I'm down for something new and different from the usual stuff. like who doesn't love sleeping beauty, right? 😴 but seriously, it sounds like this production is gonna be fire 🔥 and i'm here for it! $43 is def a steal for that kind of magic ✨

omg I'm soooo hyped for 'Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty' 🌟 it's gonna be literally magical!!! i mean who wouldn't wanna watch a visually stunning ballet with modern lighting effects and radiant costumes? 🤩 the fact that they're making ballet more accessible to a broad audience is amazing too, my sis is not even into dance but she'll love this show 💖 plus, it's happening in PA so I can road trip with my friends!!! 😂 can't wait for march 6th and the affordable tickets at just $43?!? 🎉

oh man I'm so down for a ballet show 🎭🔦 what's with the modern lighting effects? is it supposed to be like a rave or something? and how cool that there are 6 local dancers doing their own thing, but also still following traditional choreography... it sounds like they're trying to make it relatable to both old-school ballet fans and newbies at the same time. I wonder if they'll have any interactive elements, like audience participation or projections on the walls? also, $43 for a ticket is kinda steep... are there any discounts or student/senior deals available? 🤑
