Just saw this thread come up again i feel so bad for norm's family and friends, it's crazy how much impact one person can have on a community like charlton athletic fans are really lucky to have had him around... the photos of the north stand tribute outside the stadium were amazing btw, so many people showing their love and respect
so sad to hear about norm's passing its crazy how one life can touch so many people but thats what makes it so beautiful everyone has their own little story to tell about norm and hes definitely left a legacy that will live on at charlton ๏ธ fans r going 2 miss him alot, esp those who knew him personally steve perfect summed it up perfektly "he was a long-term member of our football family"
I'm so down with how everyone's being all teary-eyed about Headphones Norm... it's just another example of people making a big deal over someone who was kinda boring . I mean, sure he was nice and all, but did anyone really know what he thought on the pitch? It's not like his opinions are gonna be remembered forever or anything. And those fans crying outside the stadium with flowers and candles? They're just looking for some good old-fashioned attention . Give me a break...
I'm still trying to process how someone so humble could leave such an impact on so many lives. It's crazy to think about how something as simple as wearing headphones to watch football became this iconic thing about Norm. But at the same time, it just goes to show that sometimes it's the little things we do that end up making a big difference in people's lives...
this is really sad news about norman barker, i mean, its one thing to be passionate about football but wearing headphones everywhere u go? lol... but seriously, it sounds like he was a top bloke who had a huge impact on the charlton community . his kindness and humility are an inspiration, especially when u hear him say that he thought others deserved that supporter of the year award more than him . its amazing how many fans came out to pay their respects after his passing, it really shows how much he meant to people .
