Holiday Horses and Bazaar kicks off the season at Northwestern Stables in Fairmount Park

NORTHWESTERN STABLES HOSTS HOLIDAY HORSES AND BAZAAR IN FAIRMOUNT PARK

The annual Holiday Horses and Bazaar is set to bring festive cheer to the Wissahickon section of Fairmount Park, as Northwestern Stables opens its barn doors on Saturday, December 6. The free event kicks off at 10 a.m., offering a fun and relaxed way for families to start their holiday season.

Upon arrival, visitors will be greeted by a beautifully decorated barn, complete with festive decorations and twinkling lights. Local vendors will be selling handmade gifts, while kids can enjoy holiday-themed games and treat themselves to seasonal food and beverages. A silent auction and raffle will also be taking place throughout the day, with all proceeds supporting the care of Northwestern Stables' majestic horses.

For a special photo opportunity, families can take their children to meet Santa Claus, who will be joined by one of the stables' resident horses. However, advance reservations are required for this activity due to limited availability.

Children also have the chance to enjoy guided horse rides during the event, which require prior booking as well. Both activities promise to create unforgettable holiday memories with the horses at the heart of it all.

The Holiday Horses and Bazaar takes place on Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at Northwestern Stables located at 120 W Northwestern Ave in Philadelphia, PA 19118. Entry is free, but tickets for photos with Santa and horse rides will be available for $28.52 and $17.85 respectively.

πŸŽ„ I think it's awesome that Northwestern Stables is hosting this holiday event! 🐴 It sounds like a super fun way to kick off the festive season. I love the idea of families getting together, enjoying some seasonal treats, and taking part in activities with the horses 🌲 The fact that it's all for a good cause, supporting the care of those majestic animals, is just icing on the cake! 🍰 Only thing would be, gotta book those Santa photos and horse rides ahead of time... don't wanna miss out on those special moments πŸ“Έ

I got a weird vibe from this holiday event... πŸ€” It's like they're trying to distract us from the "real" issues. All these festivities and fun activities sound super festive, but have you seen the prices for those photo ops with Santa? $28.52?! That's not just for a photo, that's an opportunity to sell our souls to the corporate overlords... πŸ€‘ And what's up with the tickets for horse rides? Is this some kind of way to control the narrative and make us believe we need their services to "experience" nature? I mean, can't we just take our kids on a wild adventure in Fairmount Park without being charged an arm and a leg? 🌳 There's something fishy going on here... πŸ‘€

I'm not sure if I'd call it an event, more like a fun day out... πŸ€” The Holiday Horses and Bazaar sounds like a nice way to get into the holiday spirit, especially for families. But let's be real, $28.52 for a photo with Santa is kinda steep, even for me πŸ˜…. And have you seen the prices of food and drinks around here? I guess it's all about supporting the care of those beautiful horses πŸ΄πŸ’•. Still, I'm not sure how long this thing will last... with inflation and everything, these kinds of events might become less accessible to regular folks.

I'm low-key skeptical about this event... I mean, who needs to pay $28.52 for a photo with some dude in a red suit? And the horse rides are just gonna be overpriced too... like, what's the real cost of having those horses standing still while you take pics? And what if it rains? They're just gonna set up that whole thing outside and expect everyone to enjoy themselves. Mark my words, some kid's gonna get trampled by a horse and the whole event's gonna be a disaster πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

πŸŽ„ this sounds like so much fun πŸŽ…οΈ! i love that they're making the holiday season special for families to start the year off right. having santa and his horses meet and greet kids is such a great idea 🐴❀️. also, supporting local vendors and selling handmade gifts is really cool πŸ›οΈ. one thing though, how do they ensure the safety of all those horses during the event? i hope they have strict guidelines in place to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time πŸ€”.

🌲 Just thinkin' about this Holiday Horses and Bazaar event, it's really makin' me appreciate the importance of slowing down during the holiday season πŸŽ„. In today's fast-paced world, we often forget to enjoy the simple things like spending quality time with our loved ones and appreciating nature (even if it's just a horse 🐴). It's all about creating those unforgettable memories, ya know? And I think that's what this event is all about – bringin' people together, gettin' them out into nature, and showin' the beauty in the simple things. So let's take a cue from Northwestern Stables and make some time for ourselves and our families to unwind and have fun πŸŒ²πŸ’•

man i love this event πŸŽ…πŸŽ it's like they're spreading joy and happiness all over the place by opening up their barn to the public. but what's really cool is that all proceeds go towards taking care of those gorgeous horses 🐴❀️ it just goes to show how amazing it is when people come together for a good cause. and i'm sure it's not easy running an event like this, especially with limited space and everything... kudos to the team at Northwestern Stables for making this happen! πŸ‘

omg u gotta check out this holiday event at Fairmount Park πŸŽ„πŸŽ! i heard it's gonna be SO much fun, especially the part where kids get to meet santa & take a ride on one of those gorgeous horses 🐴❀️. and don't even get me started on the silent auction & raffle - gotta be there for that 😍. they're supporting a great cause too so kudos to the team at Northwestern Stables πŸŽ‰. btw, anyone know if they'll have some hot cocoa & cookies on site? πŸ°πŸ‘€

OMG 🀯 I'm so down for this event! I love the idea of meeting Santa and taking a photo op with him and his horse friend 🐴😊 But, ummm... isn't it weird that you have to book in advance for that? Can't they just let anyone come and meet Santa whenever they want? And, like, how do you even plan for that many people showing up at the same time? Don't they get worried about the horses getting stressed or something? πŸ€” Also, $28.52 is pretty pricey for a photo with Santa... I mean, can't you just sell some holiday cookies or something to make it more affordable? πŸͺπŸŽ…

I'm low-key excited about this event πŸŽ…πŸΌ! I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned holiday bazaar with free entry? Plus, getting to meet the horses is always a bonus 🐴. I wish they had more food options tho, 'specially for adults... all that hot cocoa and cookies can only do so much πŸ˜‚.

Also, I'm curious about this silent auction thing... how does it work? Is it just items donated by local vendors or are there actual auctions happening too? πŸ€”

omg u guys 🀩 i'm so down 4 this event!!! πŸŽ…πŸŽ the pics w/ santa will be iconic πŸ˜‚ and who doesn't love a good horse ride 🐴?? i'm def gonna grab my kiddos & head over to nw stable in dec. can't wait 2 see those gorgeous horses 🐾❀️ free entry tho?! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ gotta check it out πŸ’•

I'm thinkin' it's pretty cool that Northwestern Stables is hosting this holiday event πŸŽ„. It's great to see them sharin' the joy of horses with families in the community. The silent auction and raffle are a nice touch too, as they'll be helpin' out those gorgeous animals 🐴.

It's also good to know that entry to the event is free, which makes it more accessible to everyone. And for those lookin' for a special experience, the horse rides and photo ops with Santa are a bit pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for, right? It's defo goin' be a fun day out for families!
