How Amazon turned our capitalist era of free markets into the age of technofeudalism | Yanis Varoufakis

omg i think its crazy how one company can have so much control over everything lol amazon is literally the king of cloud computing and it makes me wonder if we're losing our freedom as consumers 🤯 they have this huge grip on our digital lives too, from tracking workers in warehouses to manipulating what we buy online... it's like we're just pawns in their game 🤑 but i love that there are people fighting back now! the make amazon pay campaign is so inspiring and its amazing to see all these different groups coming together to demand change 💪 lets hope they can create a more equitable tech industry where everyone benefits, not just Amazon 🤝

I gotta say, it's wild how much power one company has 😱💸. I mean, we're living in a world where Amazon can literally hold your data hostage just because you shop on their platform 🤯. And don't even get me started on the whole "cloud rents" thing - 40% of sale prices? That's straight up predatory 💸.

It's like they're creating this whole ecosystem around themselves and then wonder why people are mad about it 😒. I get that as a worker, seeing your data used against you without any say in the matter is infuriating 🤬. But on the other hand, can't we just take a step back and think about how our entire economic system is being rewritten around these tech giants? It's like we're living in some kind of dystopian novel 📚.

I'm actually kinda excited to see this Make Amazon Pay campaign taking off 💪. We need more people speaking out against the systemic issues at play here, not just Amazon specifically 👊. Maybe it's time for us to start thinking about a new economic model that puts human well-being above profit margins 🌎. Just saying 😏

I'm seeing a lot of people talking about how big tech companies are becoming like feudal lords, with one giant holding all the power... 🤑 It's like they're the only ones who can make transactions work on the internet. I think that's kinda creepy.

If you were an Amazon worker, would you want to be able to make choices about your own schedule and what kind of workload you do? ⏰ Some people are saying that the company is using tech to control people in warehouses, like they're being tracked every move they make... 🕵️‍♀️ That sounds really invasive.

Should governments be allowed to use tech companies' services without having any say over how those data's used? 🤔 I don't think it's right when a company can basically become the only game in town.
