How many teams have qualified for a World Cup with a perfect record? | The Knowledge

England's World Cup Qualification Campaign Marks a Rare feat for European Men's Teams. England has joined an exclusive club by qualifying for the upcoming World Cup without conceding a single goal in their qualifying campaign.

Since 1934, several women's teams have achieved this impressive record with perfect clean sheets during the qualification process. These include four different English women's national team campaigns in 2023 and previous years' tournaments like Germany Women's campaign before Euro '95.

In contrast, only a handful of men's European teams have managed to achieve the same feat throughout their World Cup qualifying campaigns. England is currently the first men's European team to do so.

Germany, under Hans-Dieter Flick's management in 2018, also achieved this record with three wins and two draws from ten matches.

The Netherlands and Spain have enjoyed similar success in previous years' tournaments.

Yeah, I mean, it's about time a European men's team stepped up their game 🙃. A clean sheet streak is nothing new for women's teams, btw... like, Germany Women's did it back in '95, and England Ladies have done it a few times too 🤷‍♀️. But still, props to the lads for managing to not concede a single goal 🎉. Can't say the same for their opponents, though... those qualification matches were pretty intense 😅. Guess you could say they've finally found their groove or something ⚽️. Still wouldn't mind seeing them put it all on the line in the actual tournament, though 🔥.

🔥 England is killin' it right now! I mean, who would've thought the Three Lions could go an entire qualifying campaign without conceding a single goal? It's crazy to think they're about to join that exclusive club of teams with perfect clean sheets 💯.

And let's be real, the women's teams have been killin' it for years 🤩. Four different English women's team campaigns in 2023 alone? That's just insane! You gotta respect their hard work and dedication 🙏.

I'm hyped to see how England does in the World Cup now that they've made it through qualifying undefeated 🔴⚽️. And I'm curious to see if Germany can repeat what they did back in 2018 🤔. Either way, this is shaping up to be an epic tournament! 😎

😎 This is insane! England's got the mojo working for them! 🧙‍♂️ First time ever a men's European team goes the whole qualifying campaign without giving up a single goal... that's some serious squad cohesion and defense skills on display 🤝. Germany was close, but that was 7 years ago so you gotta give credit where credit is due to England for breaking this record! 👏

I'm so stoked for England 🎉! This is like, a huge deal for their football team and all the fans who've been waiting for this moment. It's amazing to see them pull off something no one else has done before, especially with all those goals they scored in the process 😅. Germany did it back in 2018 too, but this time England is the first European men's team to do it without giving up a single goal 🤯. The women's teams have been doing it for years, and now the guys are finally joining the party 🎊!

I'm not surprised England did it 🤔, but still super impressive! It's been ages since a European men's team went clean sheet after clean sheet in the qualifying rounds. Germany came close back in 2018, but this is a big deal for English football. The fact that only a few teams have done this before makes it even more remarkable 🙌. It shows how far the game has progressed and how good the teams are becoming. But let's not get too excited just yet 😅, we know there'll be some surprises in the tournament...
