How to make a clootie dumpling – recipe | Felicity Cloake's Masterclass

I'm curious about this clootie dumpling thingy... It sounds like a lot of work to make, but I think it's cool that Scotland has its own special dessert. I mean, who doesn't love a good pudding? The idea of using suet and dried fruit is interesting - I've never thought of putting carrot in my desserts before 🤔. I'm also not sure about the whole tea towel wrapping thing... how does that work exactly? Does it make a big difference or what? And what's with all the different serving tips at the end? Custard, ice cream, slicing and frying... which one do you think is best? Can't wait to try it out 🍴😋

🤣 Scotland finally decides to share their dessert secrets with the world... about time, right? I mean, who needs to wait till they're 50 years old to discover that steaming a bundle of dried fruit and spices is a good idea 😂. But seriously, clootie dumplings do sound like a delicious way to warm up on a chilly evening - and I'm all for trying new desserts! 🍰 The fact that it's traditionally served at Burns Supper events only adds to the charm... like a Scottish dessert party is just what you need to shake off the January blues ☕️. Can't wait to give this recipe a shot (and maybe even try slicing and frying it in butter for an extra crispy kick) 🍞!

You know I'm a big fan of trying new foods, especially when they have a rich history behind them. This clootie dumpling recipe looks amazing 🤩! I love how it's got all these different flavors like ginger, nutmeg, and treacle - it's like a warm hug in a bowl 😊. And the fact that it's traditionally served at Burns Supper events makes me want to plan a Scottish-themed party ASAP 🎉. I'm not sure about frying it in butter the next day though...I think I'll stick to enjoying it as is, maybe with a dollop of whipped cream on top 🥛. It just sounds like the perfect comfort food for a cozy night in 😌.
