I had a phone like an old friend back in my youth

... now it seems I need to treat it more like a child - always having to be careful not to fall into the wrong hands

. These zero-click attacks are just crazy, can't even click on something and get infected!

And when you think about all those governments using this stuff to silence people...

it's enough to make you want to keep your head down and stay under the radar.
But seriously, staying up-to-date is key (obviously)

. Can't stress that enough. And I totally agree with Rebecca White from Amnesty International about the misuse of spyware - it's just not right

. I've had my fair share of online mishaps over the years... but that's a whole other story

.
What really gets me is when you think you're being careful, but somehow your device still manages to get compromised

. It's like, what more can you do?! But I guess if I'm going to be paranoid (and let's face it, I probably am a little

), at least I'll know where to look and take action.
Just a thought - maybe we should all just think of our devices as people we need to protect...

not just own things. That way, we'd be more careful about what we do online

.
