omg i cant even right now i just saw this news and its like wow thats so scary how r u supposed 2 know whats gonna happen when u answer a call about some1s mental health issue? i feel bad for the officer who got stabbed though they r already doin so much to help ppl in need and this is what happens 2 them 5 stars 4 our police officers btw they r literally putting themselves out there 2 save us from ourselves

๐Ÿค” this is so scary... I mean i'm glad the officer is stable tho ๐Ÿ™ but thinkin about it, how do you deal with people who are like super violent in a mental health situation? like, what happens before it gets that bad? should we be callin them the police or somethin else? they need better training and equipment to handle situations like this... and why is the suspect still at large? ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ

Ugh I cant even imagine bein a cop dealin w/ somethin like that ๐Ÿค•. Its like, they're already puttin themselves out there to help ppl, now they gotta worry about gettin hurt on the job too? It's crazy how many things can go wrong when you're respondin to a mental health call. I feel bad for the officer who got stabbed, hope he recovers fully ๐Ÿ’ช. And yeah, it's def a reminder that we need better training and support for law enforcement officers, especially when dealin w/ situations like this ๐Ÿ˜”.

Man, this is so crazy ๐Ÿคฏ... but also kinda expected at the same time? I mean, the Theater District is already like super crowded and chaotic on a Sunday night, it's only fitting that something like this happens right? But at the same time, stabbing an officer in the head is just plain wrong, no matter what the circumstances. I don't know if more specialized training would've made a difference in this case, but I guess it's always better to be safe than sorry ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. The fact that another officer had to intervene and end it all is just heartbreaking, though... ๐Ÿ˜ข. We need to make sure we're supporting our officers, both on the job and after they retire too, 'cause this stuff affects them way deeper than just their job skills ๐Ÿ’”.

๐Ÿค• This is crazy, can't believe what's happening to those cops on the job ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Mental health crisis all it was supposed to be but turns out someone got all worked up ๐Ÿคฏ. Hope that officer recovers fully from that stab wound ๐Ÿ’‰, but seriously though, how many times do we need to see this happen? ๐Ÿ™„ It's like they say "to serve and protect" but what about when the person being served is clearly not responding positively? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ More training and support needed ASAP! ๐Ÿšจ

๐Ÿ˜” I just saw that police officer got stabbed in Houston... it's like, really scary thinking about it. If they had some way to know before hand if someone was gonna get violent when they went to check on them, maybe this wouldn't have happened. They're trying to figure out what led up to the attack and stuff. It's just so sad that this officer got hurt and I hope they pull through okay ๐Ÿคž

Ugh, this is super scary ๐Ÿค•! I mean, can you even imagine being on the other side of that? A cop just trying to help someone with a mental health crisis, and they end up getting attacked like that ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. It's crazy how unpredictable these situations can be. The fact that another officer had to intervene and it ended fatally is just heartbreaking ๐Ÿ’”. We need more resources for specialized training and support so these cops can stay safe while doing their job ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ช. Maybe we can learn from this incident and make a change for the better? Fingers crossed! ๐Ÿคž

man this is so crazy ๐Ÿ˜ฑ what's going on with these mental health calls anyway? i remember watching that documentary series "Crisis Hotline" back in 2018 where they were investigating some of these incidents and it was super alarming...now this is just another example ๐Ÿค• hopefully the officer recovers from his stab wound tho, thats a huge deal ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ˜ฑ this is so messed up what kind of sicko do that to an officer just trying to help someone having a mental breakdown? I'm glad the other officer was there to stop it but can you imagine if they hadn't been trained for stuff like this? ๐Ÿคฏ we need better resources for our officers, like actual de-escalation techniques and not just 'oh just stay calm' ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ or 'call a backup'... like that's gonna help in the heat of the moment. And what about the mental health system itself? Can't they see this is exactly what happens when you don't have proper support and resources for people struggling with their minds?! ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿค• just heard about this crazy incident in Houston where an HPD officer got stabbed in the head responding to a mental health call... can't even imagine being in that situation, police officers put their lives on the line every day, it's heartbreaking ๐Ÿค

man this is so sad ๐Ÿค• but we gotta think about why it happened... was the guy really crazy or was he just having a rough day? i mean, can't we just give people a chance to talk things out without calling in the cops? and what's with the police department not having enough mental health trained officers? they're already stressed out enough on the job ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. we need to start supporting our first responders more than just giving them a pat on the back. maybe they can get some training from those yoga instructors who specialize in de-escalating situations ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ

this is really disturbing, stabbed in the head... that's like, totally unacceptable ๐Ÿค•. i'm glad the officer is stable tho, but still this feels like it could've been avoided if there was more support on the other end of the call. mental health crisis, yeah, we need to make sure our first responders are equipped with the right tools to handle these situations. gotta think about how they can get in and out safely without getting hurt ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’”

๐Ÿค• my heart goes out to the HPD officer who was stabbed, like, that's just crazy ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. it's so sad when law enforcement have to deal with these kinds of situations, especially mental health ones which can be super tricky to navigate. we need more resources & training for officers to handle these calls without getting hurt ๐Ÿ’ช. and to the officer who intervened in this case, thank you, that was a heroic thing to do ๐Ÿ™. it's good to hear the HPD officer is stable tho ๐Ÿ˜Œ. fingers crossed the investigation gets to the bottom of what happened ๐Ÿคž

man that's so concerning ๐Ÿ˜ž, i mean who wants to be stabbed on the job? it's like they're putting their lives on the line every time they respond to a call ๐Ÿš‘. i'm glad the officer is stable tho, fingers crossed for their full recovery ๐Ÿ’ช. and yeah, this incident just goes to show how crucial specialized training is in these situations ๐Ÿค. we need to make sure our law enforcement officers are equipped to handle mental health crises safely and effectively ๐Ÿ’ก. it's not just about the physical risks, but also the emotional toll of dealing with traumatic situations like this ๐Ÿค•. i hope they get the support they need after what they went through ๐Ÿ˜”

๐Ÿ˜” just saw this news and it's really making me think about the dangers they face every day. ๐Ÿ’” police officers are already under so much stress, trying to keep us safe and then you add a situation like this... ๐Ÿค• mental health crisis calls can be super tricky to handle, but it looks like training and support would've made a big difference in that officer's safety. ๐Ÿ’ช hopefully the victim recovers fully ๐Ÿ’ซ

Man this is just crazy ๐Ÿคฏ. I'm so glad the officer on the ground is gonna be okay, but at the same time... how many times do we gotta see something like this happen? ๐Ÿค• It's just not right that these officers have to deal with this kind of stuff. I mean, they're there to help people, not put themselves in harm's way ๐Ÿ’”. And yeah, it's true, mental health calls can be super tricky, but we need more resources and training for the police to handle them better, you know? ๐Ÿค Like, specialized teams just for this kind of thing would make a huge difference ๐Ÿš‘. We gotta look out for our officers, 'cause they're putting their lives on the line every time they hit the streets ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

man thats crazy how can someone do that to a person who's just trying to help they're already in a tough spot responding to a mental health call its like the world isnt gonna give them a break anymore hope for those officers & their families ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿ’” gotta be some kinda support system in place 4 them before things escalate like this
