Inside OpenAI’s Raid on Thinking Machines Lab

🤔 This whole thing is just wild. Like, OpenAI poaches co-founders from another company and then denies any knowledge of the drama that went down at the original place... it's shady, but what can you do? 🤑 Anyway, I'm worried about the AI industry, tbh. All this infighting and instability might actually harm the progress we need to make in AI development. We need experts who are genuinely passionate about using tech for good, not just fighting over power or money 💸

omg what's going on with OpenAI rn? they're like poaching people from other companies left and right and i'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing idk if it's just a sign of how competitive the AI industry is but at the same time who gets to decide what makes someone trustworthy 🤔

and omg thinking machines lab sounds like such a wild place to work 🌪️ i mean barret zoph was supposed to be in power there and now he's gone? that must've been super stressful for him idk if openai is just trying to fix the damage or if they're gonna dig deeper into what happened

anyway, it makes me wonder if we'll ever see AI systems that can actually do real-world tasks 🤖 like handling office work and stuff that's not just limited to video games 📊

I'm torn about this whole thing 🤔... I mean, on one hand, OpenAI's poaching of Zoph and Metz from Thinking Machines Lab is super concerning 💸... like, what's going on behind the scenes that's got everyone so edgy? And Murati firing Zoph without knowing what was up with his departure? That just seems shady 🤥...

But at the same time, I think it's kinda awesome that OpenAI's taking risks and trying to build this epic AI team 💪... and maybe, just maybe, these new recruits will bring some fresh perspectives and ideas to the table 🌎. And if they can get those agents trained on video games to mimic real-world tasks? That's like, totally mind-blowing 🤯...

But wait, what about the power struggles and infighting in AI labs? Isn't that a bit worrying? 🤔 I mean, we don't want our AI systems developing in isolation or anything... but on the other hand, some of these companies are just really pushing the boundaries here 🚀. So yeah, I'm like, totally lost on what's happening with OpenAI right now 😂
