Is AI making us stupid? – podcast

I don't usually comment but... I think this whole "AI making us stupid" thing is kinda overstated 🤔. Like, sure, it's true that we're using more tools and technology than ever before, but humans have always used stuff to help them do their jobs, right? The difference now is just the scale and complexity of these tools, which can be a bit overwhelming sometimes 😂. And yeah, social media algorithms are sketchy, no question 🤖. But at the same time, I think we're missing out on some amazing opportunities here. Like, AI-assisted research is leading to some seriously cool breakthroughs in science and tech 🚀. So maybe instead of worrying about becoming "stupid", we should just try to find a way to use these tools in a way that makes us smarter, not dumber 💡?
 
I'm like totally sure... but I'm also super positive that AI is making us way more intelligent than before 🤔... I mean, think about it, AI-powered tools are helping us analyze tons of data and come up with groundbreaking ideas in science and research. That's gotta be a good thing, right? 💡 But at the same time, I'm also totally convinced that we're losing our critical thinking skills because we're relying too much on algorithms 🤖... like, have you seen those social media feeds where they just keep churning out info without any actual substance? That's not how we learn or grow as humans 📚. But wait, what if I'm wrong and AI is actually the key to unlocking new levels of intelligence? 🤯 Maybe our brains are just getting too lazy to think for ourselves 😴... But at the same time, I do think there are some benefits to having AI-powered tools that can help us with stuff like data analysis or something. I'm not sure if I buy into the whole "AI is making us stupid" thing 🤔. I mean, tech has always been there to augment our abilities, right? We're pretty good at figuring out how to use them to our advantage 🤦‍♀️.

I mean, have you seen what scientists are doing with AI-assisted data analysis in medicine and climate research? Mind blown 🤯. But at the same time, we need to be aware of how much data we're giving away and what that means for our agency over our own lives 📊.

I think it's all about finding a balance between using tech to enhance our lives and not losing ourselves in the process 💸. We can't just sit back and assume everything is fine – we need to take control of how we engage with these technologies and make sure they're working for us, not against us 🚀.
