omg can u blv this afcon change is gonna be a BIG deal?? i mean i get it patrice motsepe wants 2 increase revenue 4 caf but cmon a four year cycle 4 afcon? that's like, super long time b4 we even get 2 see the tournament again lol what if som1 wins afcon in year one & then has 2 defend it 2 years later?? it's all gonna feel so rushed i'm low-key disappointed tbh

I'm kinda mixed on this one... the four-year cycle might be a good way to increase revenue for CAF 
but at what cost? CHAN is like the heart of african football, and discontinuing it doesn't sit right with me 
. And let's be real, patrice motsepe is trying to make a buck off this 
... still, i can see why they did it - every 2 years was getting pretty old, and africa needs some serious investment in its football scene 
. on the flip side, afcon is where we see all the african giants go head-to-head 
so it's hard to just dismiss it as a bad idea... i guess what i'm trying to say is... idk, man 
I feel like they're trying to squeeze more money out of us . I mean, CHAN is already kinda weak... if you ask me. They need to figure out a better way to promote the 2-year tournaments instead of just phasing them out. But at least the women's tournament will still have some sense

I mean, more time between tournaments might actually be a good thing for some of the smaller teams that can't afford to keep funding their squads every two years . But at the same time, it's gonna suck for the fans who love watching their teams play every year
