It Girl by Marisa Meltzer review – how Jane Birkin became an icon

idk why they even bother writin about jane birkin's personal life rn it feels like people r still tryna uncover somethin she already hid in plain sight lol she was all about embracin her individuality & rejectin conventional norms that's what makes her so fascinatin i mean, who else is gonna sketch out a design on a sick bag? 🤣 anywayz, i feel bad 4 marisa meltzer cuz she tried her best but u can def tell she had some biases & inaccuracies in there still def worth readin tho, gives me chills every time i think bout birkin's legacy 💖

idk why people always gotta write about Jane Birkin's "tumultuous" relationship with Serge Gainsbourg 🤷‍♀️ it's just a fact that the man was super talented and she was lucky to have met him. but anyway, I think what makes her so fascinating is how she never felt like she had to conform to anyone or anything. her whole "I don't care" attitude is actually kinda inspiring 😎 even if Meltzer's biography isn't perfect, it's still a good read for anyone who wants to learn more about Birkin's life and legacy 👍
