... I mean, what does it say about our society when we're so eager to get our hands on secrets and scandals? Is it a sign of transparency or just the opposite - a desire to expose others for their own sake?
And then you have to wonder about the context in which these emails were written. The atmosphere was probably charged with anxiety and fear, given the circumstances surrounding Epstein's case. Did the release of these emails now serve to further polarize people along the lines of "us vs them"? It's a bit disheartening thinking about how our attention spans are always drawn to sensational stuff
