Joel Dommett looks back: 'I paid $10 to do a three-minute standup slot in a bar on Sunset Boulevard. I was hooked'

omg i'm low-key inspired by joel dommett's story 🤩, like who else can say they went from $10 standup slots to global fame? 😂 and i love how he credits his community of fellow comedians for helping him grow - it's so true that having a support system makes all the difference. 🤝 also, being himself on stage is key to success, right? authenticity wins every time 💁‍♀️

omg i'm lovin this story about Joel Dommett 🤣! its so inspiring to see how he went from randomly listening to comedy sets on LimeWire to killin it on TV 📺💥. and i love how he talks about being true to himself - thats so relatable, you know? 😊

i was thinkin of makin a little diagram to show how his career just kinda... snowballed 💨:
```
+-----------------------+
random comedy sets
on LimeWire
(2 yrs)
+-----------------------+
first standup gig
in LA's Rainbow Bar
($10)
+-----------------------+
buildin a community
of fellow strugglers
(8 yrs)
+-----------------------+
TV presenting jobs
I'm a Celebrity
etc...
+-----------------------+
```
anywayz, Dommett's just the real deal 🙏. hes got this amazing balance between bein funny and bein himself, and that's somethin we can all learn from 😊

omg i love how Joel Dommetts story is so inspiring!!! he went from discovering comedy on pirate websites to killing it on TV 🤣🎉 and its all because he stayed true to himself and found his tribe in that weird gig circuit 😂👫 his humility & teamwork skills are literally the best, especially after experiencing I'm a Celebrity 🌴🐒 hope he gets to pass those values onto his son soon!!!
