Judge tosses indictments against James Comey and Letitia James

lol what a nightmare this whole thing is 🤯 like who appoints an interim us attorney and gets away with it? Lindsey Halligan was literally handpicked by trump no experience whatsoever and now she's getting away with ruining people's lives over alleged false statements 🙄 and now the case against comey and james can be refiled lol what a joke 👀 this judge currie is like the real hero here 👏 making sure the rule of law isn't completely screwed 💯 gotta love it when the system actually works for once 🤞

🤔 this ruling is a big deal, but I'm still not sure it's all sunshine and rainbows... I mean, we're talking about the president having some kinda "influence" over who gets to prosecute people? That's just weird 🙃. And let's be real, Lindsey Halligan was basically a Trump puppet from day one, so how much of a difference does this ruling really make? Still, it's a good thing that Judge Currie had the guts to stand up for the law and reject Halligan's appointment... maybe we'll see some actual accountability in the near future 🤞.

I'm not surprised at all... 😒 Trump's influence on the judiciary is a whole can of worms. I mean, who appoints someone without experience as a prosecutor to bring indictments? It's just common sense that only someone with actual qualifications should be doing that job. And now that Lindsey Halligan's appointment was deemed invalid, it's gonna be super hard for Comey and James to get their cases refiled... they're basically back at square one 🤦‍♂️. And let's not even get started on the implications of this decision... setting a precedent for presidential influence on the judiciary? No thanks. It just goes to show that Trump's been trying to exert his power over everyone, including the justice system... not cool 👎

🙄 So glad to see someone finally speaking truth to Trump's playbook. I mean, who needs qualifications or experience when you're handpicked by a president with a penchant for drama? Lindsey Halligan was like the ultimate puppet for Trump's agenda, and it's about time she got taken down a notch. Now, Comey and James can breathe a sigh of relief... but let's be real, this is just a minor speed bump in an otherwise corrupt system 🕷️. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the courts and if anyone else gets pulled into Trump's game of musical chairs 👀

man this is like a perfect storm of checks and balances in action 🤯🚫 the fact that the judge threw out those indictments because Halligan's appointment was invalid is a huge win for the rule of law, but at the same time it's also super concerning that Trump can just handpick who he wants to be the prosecutor. I mean come on, you can't just appoint someone with no experience and expect them to uphold the law? 🤔 that's like giving a rookie cop sole responsibility for investigating a major crime scene.

and what's even more interesting is how this whole thing highlights the tension between presidential power and judicial independence. it's like, the president thinks he can just handpick who he wants to be in charge of enforcing the laws, but the judiciary is all like "nope, we're not going down that road". it's a classic debate about the separation of powers 🤝 and how each branch has to respect the others' authority.

anyway, I think this decision is going to have some major implications for future cases involving politicians and prosecutors. it's going to be super interesting to see how things play out from here 👀

Ugh, this is crazy 🤯. A judge just let Trump off the hook again by ruling that his handpicked interim US Attorney had no authority to bring indictments against Comey and James 😒. I mean, can't believe this is still happening. The whole point of having a federal system is to have checks on power, right? And now it seems like judges are just rubber-stamping whatever Trump wants 🙄.

And what's up with Lindsey Halligan's appointment in the first place? She had zero experience as a prosecutor and was basically picked out of thin air. It's no wonder she made such questionable decisions that led to these indictments being dismissed 💁‍♀️.

This whole thing just reeks of politicization, you know? The justice system is supposed to be above politics, but it feels like Trump is trying to use his executive powers to undermine the very concept of accountability 🚫. It's frustrating, because we need more transparency and accountability in our government, not less 🤔.
