I'm kinda feeling bad for Pimblett , but like at the same time, I think Gaethje was way off about what happened in that fight... I mean, Gaethje's saying Pimblett's overconfidence led to him getting caught off guard, but I'm not so sure. Maybe Pimblett actually had a solid game plan and just got unlucky with some bad luck hits ? It's all just speculation at this point, but I think Gaethje's being kinda harsh on himself...
i think gaethje is being a bit harsh on pimblett, ya know? like, confidence is one thing but it's not all about him being 'false' about it. maybe he just got caught off guard because pimblett was so aggressive and took the fight to him from the start . and honestly, gaethje himself isn't exactly perfect either - i mean, he's lost a few times before too . maybe they should both take some time to regroup instead of placing all the blame on pimblett .
I feel for Gaethje, dude ... he's a beast in the octagon, but sometimes confidence can get the best of you, you know? Pimblett thought he had it wrapped up too soon and paid the price . It's not the first time we've seen that happen to someone at that level of competition. You gotta stay focused and adaptable, even when you're winning . Gaethje'll bounce back, I'm sure of it! He's got the skills and the determination ... now he just needs to work on his mental game too .
Gaethje's got a point about Pimblett's confidence being a major factor in that loss... I mean, it's easy to get caught off guard when you're feeling overconfident, and Gaethje was able to capitalize on those mistakes. But at the same time, you can't really blame Pimblett for having faith in himself - he's been on a roll in the UFC! The thing is, confidence shouldn't be "false" - it should just be based on solid preparation and training. If Pimblett can get that back on track, I think he'll bounce back from this loss in no time
omg can't believe gaethje spoke up about that i mean i think pimblett was just too confident, you know? like he thought he had it in the bag and overplayed his hand which is exactly what gaethje said happened. if pimblett didn't underestimate him at all maybe gaethje could've taken him down now we'll have to see how pimblett bounces back from this, hopefully he learns from his mistakes and becomes a better fighter
I'm telling you, I don't think Gaethje's got a clue what went wrong . Like, yeah, Pimblett might've had that false confidence thing going on, but Gaethje himself is also super aggressive and reckless - that's just gonna get you caught out in the ring! And I mean, we're still waiting to see if Pimblett can actually recover from those injuries . I'm not buying all this talk about him needing to reassess his approach... like, has he even thought about what made Gaethje so unstoppable before? But at the same time, maybe Pimblett was genuinely overconfident and just needs a wake-up call .
