I'm not sure if £300 million renovation programme is worth it, imo . I mean, we've already got some of the best architecture in the world right here, so why mess with what works? It sounds like they're trying to fit the Barbican into modern trends, but what about preserving its unique character? Those 20-storey towers do look like something out of a sci-fi movie . I'd rather see some subtle changes instead of overhauling the entire estate. And what's with the "fabric first" approach? Is that just code for "we're gonna make it all fancy and sustainable"? The Barbican has been around for decades, it can handle a little TLC without losing its edge .
Ugh, I'm so done with this renovation plan . It's like they're gonna mess up a masterpiece that's already stood the test of time. The arts centre is beautiful just the way it is – all those weird corridors and conservatory vibes are what make it special . And now, some faceless architects want to rip out its soul with their fancy 20-storey towers . I mean, who thought that was a good idea? Those "corpulent bouncers" are gonna ruin the whole vibe of the estate. Can't they just leave it alone?
