Local Brewery Lowers Beer Prices as Snowfall Increases, Lures Customers with Discounted Deals
As snow continues to blanket the Philadelphia area, Human Robot brewery is capitalizing on the winter weather by offering discounted prices on its beers. The unique promotion sees the brewery discount its TMAVY 1° beer by $1 for every inch of snow that falls during this weekend's storm.
The move is part of a long-standing policy at Human Robot to offer reduced prices for its beers when it snows. According to co-owner Jake Atkinson, customers who take advantage of the promotion are essentially getting the beer for as little as 25 cents per pint. This is only possible because the brewery expects to receive 12-18 inches of snowfall in the Philly region, which would result in the $8 TMAVY 1° beer being sold for a fraction of its original price.
Atkinson attributes the promotion's success to the fact that it encourages people who might otherwise stay indoors during snowy weather to venture out and visit one of Human Robot's five taprooms. "It's a way to get people to come out when it snows, because typically people don't go out," he said. "But if you can walk, it kind of brings a fun party to the whole snow situation."
The TMAVY 1° beer itself is a popular choice among Human Robot fans, with its dark lager flavor profile and notes of aniseed and dark bread crust. The brewery's side pull faucet ensures that customers receive a precise pour with a creamy foam.
Human Robot has offered discounted beers on several occasions in the past, but never at prices as low as this before. Atkinson attributes the success of this particular promotion to the exceptional snowfall expected in the Philly region this weekend.
The promotion is currently available at Human Robot's three city taprooms and two suburban locations, but customers are advised to exercise caution when traveling during snowy conditions. The brewery's message remains clear: "Just be safe, and let's have some fun."
