Longtime Islander Brock Nelson expecting ‘weird’ feeling as he faces former team for first time since trade

I think its gonna be pretty cool to see how Brock Nelson handles this game 🤔. I mean, he's been with the Avs for 8 months now and its clear he's adjusting, but when you're playing against his old team, it takes it to a whole new level. Like, imagine showing up in the locker room and seeing familiar faces all around you... 🏒️💪. And yeah, its awesome that he invited his old teammates over for dinner and they accepted - I'm sure thats gonna be some good bonding time before the game 🍴👫. But at the end of the day, it's all about the games right? Can't wait to see how this all plays out!
 
omg I'm low-key excited for this game 🤩! brock nelson's trade was insane, I remember when he was still with the islanders and now he's like, a part of the avalanche crew 🚀. it's gonna be crazy to see him go up against his old team, especially since they're all coming over for dinner on saturday lol. i wonder how that dinner party will go down? is casey cizikas and anders lee gonna spill all the tea about brock's transition to colorado 😂🍴?
 
Omg I'm so curious about how Brock Nelson is gonna do against his old team 🤔. As a parent, I can relate to the feeling of being in a new environment and trying to make friends all over again 😊. My kid just started at a new school and it's been a bit tough for them too - they're still getting used to making new friends and feeling like part of the group 🤝. I'm sure Nelson is feeling similar emotions right now, but it's awesome that he's staying in touch with his old teammates 👫. Fingers crossed for the Avalanche! ⚡️
 
I don't get why there's such a big deal about Brock Nelson going back to play against the Islanders he used to be on 🤔. Like, I know it's his first game with Colorado and all that, but isn't that what happens in most trades? He's still gonna give it his all and try to win, right? And yeah, it's cool that some of his old teammates are coming to dinner, but let's be real, he's not gonna be as invested in beating them as we think he'll be 😅. It's just another game, right? 🏒️
