I think Low Cut Connie's decision to remake 'Livin in the USA' into an upbeat blues track is kinda weird
... I mean, isn't it a bit hypocritical that they're trying to spin a protest song as an uplifting experience? The fact that Adam Weiner had to cancel shows and reevaluate his approach due to violent threats just goes to show how divisive their message can be
. But at the same time, I guess it's cool that they're not backing down from controversy... or should I say, flipping the table again?
Either way, I'm curious about this new album - is it really gonna bridge the divide between protest music and mainstream appeal?
