Maingear's latest retro gaming desktop takes you back to the Quake era

I gotta say, I'm not sure if Maingear's Retro98 is a genius move or just a bunch of hype 😂. On one hand, it's awesome that they're paying homage to the retro era, especially for fans of Quake and other classic games. But on the other hand, who can afford $9,799? 🤑 That's almost as expensive as some politician's fancy new jetplane ✈️. And with only 32 units available, it's like Maingear is trying to create a whole new class system among gamers – you either have the cash or you're left in the dust 😒. But hey, if being retro-cool is what matters most, then I guess it's worth breaking the bank for 🤑.

I'm literally stoked to see a new retro gaming desktop like this! It's amazing how technology has come so far, yet we still get that same nostalgic feel when looking at old-school gaming towers 🤩. I mean, who wouldn't want a desktop that screams "Quake era" with an LED fan-speed display and turbo button? And the specs are insane! Like, who needs that much RAM and storage for their retro gaming setup, right? 😂 But seriously, it's awesome to see companies like Maingear catering to our nostalgia and giving us a chance to relive those old-school gaming days. And let's be real, if you're gonna drop $9,799 on an "Alpha" build, you're probably a true retro gaming enthusiast 💸. Can't wait to see what kind of games we'll get to play on this bad boy! 🎮

💡 I'm loving the Retro98's design 🎮! The beige color and LED display are so nostalgic 😊. It's crazy how Maingear managed to blend retro vibes with modern components - that Ryzen 9 processor is NO JOKE 🤯! 💸 The limited edition thingy is pretty wild, but I guess it's great for die-hard Quake fans who want a super rare desktop. Anyone thinking of building their own Retro98 equivalent should def look into the SilverStone FLP02 case 👍

I'm all about being anti-Maingear here. Who needs a $9,799 liquid-cooled behemoth when you can just buy a gaming PC with similar specs and save like 80%? I mean, do they really think anyone's gonna break the bank for some retro vibes? The fact that there are only 32 standard units available makes it even more ridiculous. And don't even get me started on the "Alpha" build - who pays $9,799 for a computer? That's just crazy talk!
