i was thinking about my own kids when i heard the news, and how scary it must be for them to live in a world where they have to worry about people getting shot all the time. we need to do more to keep our communities safe, but at the same time, we can't just blame others or the system... we all got to take responsibility and look out for each other.

i remember when my own kids were younger, i always made sure they knew what their safety numbers were, like who to call in case of an emergency. it's funny how things come full circle, but now as a retiree, i just wish more people would look out for one another and try to build trust again in the community. 🤝

I'm so tired of hearing about gun violence in Chicago... it feels like no matter how many times we talk about it, nothing changes 💔. It's always the same, though - some dude gets shot, and suddenly it's all about "disturbance calls" and "multiple gunshot wounds". What's really being asked is when was this gonna happen next? When's enough people gonna get taken from us? The police need to step up their game here, gather more evidence, talk to the neighbors, find out what led up to this.
