. I'm so sorry for the poor guy who lost his life. Can't believe someone didn't see him crossing the street... it's just basic safety, you know? 
Anyways, glad to hear the driver stayed put and is cooperating with the police. Still think we need more bike lanes and better lighting in areas like this. And can we please get some improved traffic management systems? It's frustrating when drivers are oblivious to cyclists or pedestrians... just a lot of pressure on our citizens to stay safe out there

This is just so senseless! A life lost over a stupid accident... what's the point of even having bike lanes if people are gonna ignore them? 
i feel bad for his family, they must be livin the worst right now... anyway its a good thing the driver didnt have any booze in him or things could've been even worse 
what really gets me is that there were no bike lanes where he was tryin to cross the street, it's like nobody thought about how we're supposed to share the road 
so yeah let this be a lesson to us all... stay alert and keep our eyes on the road
