A man narrowly escaped a devastating tornado by taking refuge inside his pest control van in Little Rock, Arkansas.

According to the National Weather Service, an EF-3 tornado tore through Pulaski and Lonoke counties, with winds estimated at 165 mph. The twister left a trail of destruction and loss of life, claiming one person's life in North Little Rock and four others in Wynne.

In a shocking display of resilience, Cody Coombes rode out the storm inside his vehicle, providing an unprecedented glimpse into the harrowing experience of a tornado survivor. The footage, captured by CNN, shows Coombes' van being tossed about like a toy as the tornado rages on outside.

"It was like nothing I've ever experienced before," Coombes recounted in an interview. "I just huddled up and hoped for the best."

The EF-3 tornado was one of several to hit the region over the past week, leaving thousands without power or access to basic necessities.

The National Weather Service issued warnings for multiple counties in Arkansas and Missouri on Friday evening, warning residents of a potential tornado threat. Residents were advised to seek shelter immediately and stay away from windows.

While the storm has passed, many are left shaken by the sheer force of nature. Coombes' harrowing experience serves as a poignant reminder of the unpredictability of life and the importance of being prepared for any situation that may arise.

One wrong move and that thing could've torn him apart πŸ’€.

I'm glad he made it through, though πŸ™. It's a sobering reminder of how fast nature can turn on us β›ˆοΈ. I hope the authorities are doing everything they can to help those affected by these tornadoes 🀝. And Cody Coombes? He might need some therapy after that experience πŸ˜‚.

I mean come on... 165 mph winds? That's insane! I feel bad for all those people who lost loved ones or homes. But, you gotta wonder what was going through Cody Coombes' mind when he saw his van get tossed around like a toy 🀯. Did he think it was gonna fly away or something? πŸ˜‚ On a serious note though, these storms are getting crazy strong and we need to get our act together on disaster preparedness... or else! πŸ’₯

man that's crazy 🀯 his van got tossed around like it was a toy lol imagine being stuck in a moving vehicle with nothing to do but hope for the best 😬. and worst part is there were other people killed by this tornado, so like what even is the point of being prepared when nature just can't be controlled πŸŒͺ️. and now thousands are without power and basic necessities, so yeah no thanks to Mother Nature πŸ’”

Just watched that crazy video of Cody Coombes riding out a tornado in his van 🀯😱 I mean, can you even imagine being in a situation like that? The wind speeds must have been insane. It's crazy how some people are just prepared to face the unexpected and make it through alive. I'm just glad no one else was hurt as badly as that one guy who died in North Little Rock. That must have been super traumatic for Coombes too, but at least he made it out okay. Hope everyone is doing alright now.

Can you believe that dude rode out a 165mph tornado in his pest control van lol 🀯πŸ’₯! I mean, who needs a storm shelter when you've got a sturdy van? Cody Coombes is literally the ultimate survivor right now πŸ™Œ. And can we talk about how wild it must be to see your van being tossed around like a toy outside while you're safely inside πŸ˜‚πŸš—. The fact that he just huddled up and hoped for the best is crazy, I would have freaked out lol! This storm has been intense, thousands without power or access... so glad everyone's safe πŸ™πŸ’ͺ. We need more people like Cody Coombes who can stay calm in the face of chaos 😎.

That was CRAZY!!! 😱 I mean, who expects to be tossed around like a toy in their own van? 🀯 Cody Coombes is literally the luckiest person alive to have made it through that! 165 mph winds are insane, and I can only imagine how scared he must have been. But at least he was prepared and found shelter in his vehicle. It's just another reminder of how unpredictable life can be and why we need to always be on our toes (or in this case, in our vans!). πŸš—πŸ’¨

tornado survivors should be getting some serious help & support after going thru this traumatic exp. instead of just being 'lucky' to have made it out alive πŸ™πŸ’”. i mean, what was that van even doing in the middle of a tornado? it's crazy how ppl think driving around with a bunch of chemicals & equipment is gonna save them from the elements lol πŸ˜‚...anyway, gotta give props to Coombes tho, he did manage to ride out the storm 🀯. but seriously, shouldn't we be working on ways to prevent these disasters instead of just reacting to them? like, what's up with the weather forecast system that missed this one so badly? πŸ€”πŸ’‘

OMG 🀯, can you even imagine riding out a tornado in your van?! 😱 Cody Coombes is literally the luckiest dude alive! I mean, four other people lost their lives and he just happened to be in his pest control van? That's crazy talk πŸ’₯. And poor guy, that footage is insane - his van getting tossed around like a toy?! πŸš—πŸ˜². My heart goes out to all those affected by the tornadoes, but at least Coombes made it out alive! Stay safe, dude! πŸ™πŸ’ͺ

man what a crazy situation lol πŸ€―β€β™‚οΈ Cody Coombes is literally one lucky dude to have made it out alive like that! I mean, can you even imagine being in a tornado and having the sense of security of being inside a pest control van? πŸ˜‚β€β™‚οΈ that's some next level stuff. And I feel bad for all those people who lost their lives or homes, it's just devastating to see πŸ€•.

πŸŒͺ️😱 what a crazy close call !! πŸ™ that van is like a tornado shelter or something πŸšπŸ˜‚ i mean i've seen some intense weather vids but this one takes the cake 🍰 the guy was so calm and collected tho πŸ’†β€β™‚οΈ it's all about staying safe and hoping for the best 🀞 at least he made it out alive πŸ˜… those twisters are no joke 🀯 the power is always out for hours after a storm too β˜€οΈπŸ’‘ hope everyone in the affected areas is okay πŸ™πŸΌ

Ugh, what a crazy ride 😩. I mean, can you even imagine being stuck in a van like that? 165mph winds, dude... that's insane πŸ’₯. Glad Coombes was okay, but seriously, how does one just... hope for the best 🀯? Like, shouldn't we be preparing for these things instead of just riding it out?

πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ what's up with tornado warnings lately? Like, can't we just get a decent weather app that tells us if it's gonna rain or not?! This dude just happened to have his pest control van as shelter, I mean, that's just convenient. πŸ˜‚ and 165 mph winds? That's like something out of a video game. Glad the guy made it out alive tho, but seriously, can we get some better infrastructure in place for these kinds of situations? πŸ€”

🀯 just can't believe how lucky that guy was to survive in his van 🚐. I mean, I've been through some crazy days myself, but being torn apart by a tornado? That's just insane πŸ’₯. It's amazing he stayed calm and just rode it out... or should I say, rode it out in his van πŸ˜‚. You know, it makes you appreciate the little things in life even more when you've come close to losing everything. People can learn from Cody Coombes' experience - always be prepared for the unexpected! πŸ“¦πŸ’ͺ

🀯 I'm still trying to wrap my head around how close Coombes came to getting slammed by that twister. Like, 165 mph winds are insane! It's crazy he was able to ride it out in his van... I mean, I've seen some wild stuff on the roads, but this is on a whole different level πŸ˜‚. But at the same time, I feel for all those people who lost their lives and homes - it's just devastating. The fact that Coombes made it out alive is a miracle in itself πŸ™. And can we talk about how resilient people like him are? He's literally been through a tornado and lived to tell the tale πŸ’₯!

🀯 just saw that video of Cody Coombes riding out the tornado in his van... mind blown 😲. I mean, can you even imagine being inside a vehicle when a twister is tearing through? It's crazy to think he was literally huddled up and hoping for the best πŸ™. And 165 mph winds? That's insane πŸ’₯. It just goes to show how powerful nature can be, and how we need to always be prepared for the unexpected 😬.

omg, like, who needs a storm shelter when you've got a pest control van? lolol just kidding, kinda. seriously though, 165 mph winds is no joke and i'm so glad Coombes made it out alive πŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜…. I mean, it's crazy that his van could withstand the force of nature, but at the same time, like, shouldn't he be a little shaken up? maybe just a bit 😬. anyway, safety first and all that jazz... guess some people are just more prepared than others πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ.

Wow 😱 that's like something out of a movie! I mean, can you imagine being in a van and it's getting blown around like a toy 🀯? Cody Coombes is like a real-life Indiana Jones or something! I'm so glad he made it out alive though. It's crazy how the weather can just come out of nowhere and wreak havoc. The fact that the tornado warning system worked and people were able to seek shelter is definitely a blessing. But at the same time, it's hard not to think about all the other people who weren't so lucky πŸ˜”. Anyway, I'm just glad everyone is safe now πŸ™ and we can hope for some better weather in the future β˜€οΈ.
