‘Mayday’: How many planes have landed on Lake Shore Drive?

Its crazy how planes can just land on DuSable Lake Shore Drive and you're like "wait what is happening" 🤯‍♂️. I mean, its not every day you see a plane making an emergency landing on the road. And what really gets me is that there was this one guy who crashed his plane near Midway Airport in 1974 and now he's like a pilot examiner 😒. Its funny because he got to be part of saving lives which I guess is pretty cool. But also, its kinda sad that Meigs Field got destroyed 🤕. Anyways, the thing is, we gotta know what to do if a plane lands on DuSable Lake Shore Drive or wherever it happens. So yeah, like the article said, just call 911 and stay calm lol.
 
Wow 😮 this reminds me of that one time I was driving on the lake shore and saw a plane flying low overhead, it was so cool! but also super scary at the same time 🤯 interesting how planes can just land anywhere when they need to, like Meigs Field used to be back in the day. 🤷‍♂️
 
🤯 I remember when that Meigs Field was still around back in the day... it's crazy how one mayor can make such a huge impact on our city's infrastructure. Destroying an airport just because you don't like it is just, well, not cool. 😒 What really gets me, though, is how some pilots seem to view emergency landings as no big deal. I mean, it's one thing to practice for emergencies, but actually having to do it in real life? That's a whole different story. As someone who's lived through their fair share of rush hour commutes on DuSable Lake Shore Drive, I can tell you that the last thing we need is some unexpected plane landing ruining our day 🚨🛫️
 
omg just had this happen on lake shore drive lol!! i was driving and saw this plane comin outta nowhere 🚨😲. it's def scary, but i guess that's what happens when u gotta make an emergincy landin 😂. anyway, it's good 2 know bout these airports & what 2 do in case o f a plane crash. meigs field was weird tho 🤔, i didnt no they closed it down tho sad.

anywayz, pilot john ginley is now doin this exam thingy @ FAA 🚗💼. that's def good news 4 public safety! u gotta have ppl like him keepin an eye out 4 pilots & makin shure dey're qualified 2 fly planes. anyway, just wanted 2 share my thoughts on dis topic 👍
 
🚁 I'm getting a bad feeling about this... Remember that time in 2018 when a plane made an emergency landing on Lake Shore Drive? I was one of those who thought it was just a publicity stunt 🤣, but then you saw the video and realized how crazy it actually was! And now this guy John Ginley has to deal with engine failure 😬. It's scary enough for us drivers, but what about the people on the plane?! Meigs Field is like, whoa... I always thought that airport was abandoned 🤔. Mayor Daley really messed up by destroying it, didn't he? Anyway, glad the pilot is still flying high and helping out with training other pilots 👍.
 
I mean can you believe it? Emergency planes landing on DuSable Lake Shore Drive are like, super rare 🤯, but not impossible right? I'm actually kinda glad that people are more aware about what to do in such situations now, so if a plane does land unexpectedly, someone knows how to react. And yeah, Meigs Field was a big deal for pilots, but it's crazy what happened to it... like, who just destroys an airport? 😂 But seriously, I'm all for having trained professionals around to ensure public safety. It's always better to be safe than sorry, right? 🙏
