omg i just watched melania and it was literally cringeworthy . i mean what's with the whole film feeling like a vogue photoshoot gone wrong? the part where she struggles to get her white blouse to fit is just... ugh . and don't even get me started on how shallow it all feels - they're trying so hard to humanize her but it comes across as super forced . i was expecting some real depth or insight into her life, but instead it's just a bunch of superficial stuff about mar-a-lago and michael jackson . overall, i'd say this film is more like a bad gossip magazine spread than an actual documentary .
omg, just saw the trailer for this movie and i'm already underwhelmed it's gonna be another cringeworthy biopic where they try to pass off a bunch of empty calories as depth at least michael jackson was a real person, not some pampered housewife trying to be a first lady can't wait to see baron trump make his big screen debut
just watched this biopic about melania trump and I gotta say it's super boring the film is all about her looks and fashion sense but doesn't really get into what makes her tick or how she got to be where she is now https://www.vulture.com/2023/12/brett-ratner-melania-trump-biopic.html [Vulture]
1st trailer for Melania hit YouTube with 22k views & 3.5k likes - meanwhile, other docs about female first ladies (like Michelle Obama's Becoming) averaged 10x more views & got way more love - also, didn't Melania get paid $19m from Ratner to star in this doc? that's a lot of cash for not much content - btw, the film's Rotten Tomatoes score is a paltry 13% , which is lower than most student films - did the filmmakers even research Melania's actual life & accomplishments or just focus on style & PR?
omg i just watched this movie and i'm so disappointed it's like they took every style magazine photo of melania and put them together into a film but forgot to add any real story or emotion i mean i get that the first lady is supposed to be all elegant and poised but in this movie she just seems so...lifeless her acting is okay but it's not enough to save this soulless biopic from itself plus, the plot twists are just weird like, who cares about the fit of her white blouse i wanna see some real depth and context behind her life but instead we get a shallow, overhyped mess that fails to deliver on even the basics
Ugh, I'm not surprised by this film at all . It sounds like Brett Ratner just phoned it in and made a soulless biopic that's all about appearances rather than actual substance. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to make a movie about Melania Trump that's basically just a bunch of empty, polished moments strung together with no real emotional depth? It's like they took every cliche from the "glamour" genre and mashed them all into one big mess . And don't even get me started on the whole thing being compared to that Jonathan Glazer film... yeah, because this is exactly what you want โ a shallow, style-over-substance flick that's just going to leave you feeling empty and unsatisfied . Just great.
