Ministers can raise taxes if they come out fighting. But no one in this cowardly Labour government seems able | Aditya Chakrabortty

🤔 I'm getting a bit worried about Labour's stance on taking tough decisions in politics... it seems like they're more focused on being liked by everyone than standing up for what they believe in. It's like they're afraid of rocking the boat, even if it means making some unpopular choices. The public needs to see some backbone from their leaders, especially when it comes to something as important as a budget that will affect people's lives.

I remember when I was younger, politics wasn't always about being PC and avoiding controversy... we actually had debates and arguments in Parliament! It's like Labour has lost touch with what made them relevant in the first place. The public wants to know where they stand on issues, not just be told that they're "non-partisan" or "working hard". Give me some conviction, please! 💪

🤐 I've been listening in on some juicy stuff behind the scenes of Labour party meetings... honestly, the lack of conviction on both sides is wild 🤯. It's like they're all too afraid to rock the boat or take a stance that might alienate voters. And don't even get me started on the staff - I've seen them cringing at some of their own colleagues' comments about Boris Johnson being "a laugh, innie?" 😂 it's no wonder they can't seem to come up with a coherent plan for the upcoming budget... they're more worried about not getting attacked by the right-wing press than actually engaging with the public 📰. The whole thing just feels so... beige 🤯
