High School Hoops: Monday's Upset Winners and Thrillers

The hardwood courts were ablaze with action on Monday night as the high school basketball world continued its thrilling season.

In a Public League tournament matchup, Morgan Park Academy stunned Christian Heritage 75-51 to advance in the Lake Shore bracket, while Parker edged North Shore 70-67 in an Independent tilt.

Lombard's CPSA squad took down Islamic Foundation 20-10, in a Metro Prep game, in which Lombard dominated. In a thrilling contest, Speer defeated Rowe-Clark 73-63 to move forward in the Noble Blue bracket.

Clifton Central's boys edged Beecher 64-54, while Joliet West triumphed over Plainfield South 56-42, in an SOUTHLAND tilt.

In Non-Conference play, Grayslake Central outlast Vernon Hills 61-56 (OT), while Lockport bested Joliet Central 65-34.

The LITTLE TEN TOURNAMENT saw Newark defeat Leland 51-35 and IMSA edged Serena 60-38 in the quarterfinals.

But at the same time, there were some close games too, like Parker and North Shore going into overtime 🕒.
