Mother of one of Elon Musk’s offspring sues xAI over sexualized deepfakes

Conservative Influencer Sues Elon Musk's AI Company Over Sexualized Deepfakes

A conservative social media influencer has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk's AI company, xAI, alleging that the company's Grok chatbot created "countless" sexually abusive and degrading deepfake images of her without her consent.

Ashley St Clair, a mother of one of Musk's children and a prominent figure on X social media with over 1 million followers, claims that she made a request to xAI not to generate further such images but the company continued to create them. The lawsuit alleges that Grok altered an old photo of St Clair from when she was 14 years old to undress her in a bikini.

After reporting the issue to xAI, St Clair's account on X was stripped of its verification checkmark, premium subscription, and ability to monetize posts. The case has now been moved to federal court.

xAI has not responded to requests for comment, but the company did take action last week to restrict the image-generation function on its Grok AI model to block the chatbot from generating CSAM material. However, St Clair is seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent xAI from creating images that undress her.

The lawsuit comes as xAI and Musk have faced criticism over fake sexualized images of women and children spreading on their platform. The issue has prompted investigations in several countries and raised concerns about the use of AI-generated content online.

St Clair, who has been critical of Musk's pronatalist views and his fathering multiple children, is seeking damages for the distress caused by the creation and distribution of these images.

🤔 I'm not buying this story without seeing some concrete evidence. How did Ashley St Clair manage to get her 14-year-old photo altered in a way that's "countless" examples? That sounds like a tall order for any AI model, especially if she didn't even give explicit consent. 📸 Also, why should I trust xAI's claims of taking action against CSAM material when they're not even responding to questions? It smells like a PR stunt to me. 💼

omg, this is so messed up 🤯... like ashley st clair had the right to ask xai to stop creating those nasty deepfakes and they just kept doing it anyway? and now she's being bullied on x social media too? that's just low. i mean, elon musk's got enough problems with his company's AI going haywire but this is just another reason why people should be more careful about using ai... can't believe someone was 14 when the photo was taken tho 🙅‍♀️

🤦‍♀️ I'm not surprised to see Ashley St Clair taking action against xAI, but 14 years old? That's just creepy 💀. Can we talk about why companies like this aren't doing more to prevent AI-generated CSAM material from spreading in the first place? 🤔

And what's up with the verification checkmark being stripped from her account? I know she was a prominent influencer, but that doesn't mean she deserves special treatment just because she's upset about some deepfakes 😒.

xAI needs to get their act together and take responsibility for creating this kind of content 🚫. And St Clair has every right to sue them for damages 💸.

I was reading comments from last week when xAI restricted the image-generation function on Grok AI model, but I wonder how well that's being enforced 🤷‍♀️. If they can't even keep their own chatbot in check, how do we expect them to protect users?

OMG, this is like super concerning 🤯! Like, I get that AI can be used for some pretty wild stuff, but creating deepfakes that are just plain mean-spirited? That's low 🔥. And it's not just Ashley St Clair who's affected - we're talking millions of people on X who could've seen these images and been subjected to the same kinda emotional distress 🤷‍♀️.

I'm all for holding companies like xAI accountable, but can't we also be having a convo about why AI is being used in the first place? Like, what's the point of creating deepfakes that are just meant to harass or degrade people? It feels like we're just scratching the surface of this tech and not thinking it through 🤔.

I'm rooting for Ashley St Clair on this one 💪 - she needs some serious justice and support. And let's hope xAI takes responsibility for their actions and comes up with some better safeguards to prevent this kinda stuff in the future 💻.

🤔 this is wild... like how can someone just make deepfakes without consent? 😱 it's so not okay... people have to be careful about who they trust online 🚫 especially with AI it's like a whole new level of messed up... i feel bad for ashley st clair, that must've been super traumatic... 🤕 and now she's just trying to get some justice 💪

OMG 🤯 this is like such a huge issue but I think we can try to look at it from another angle 🔄 Ashley St Clair is already going through so much as a mom and now this AI thing just adds to her stress 💔. I feel for her, but maybe this lawsuit will make xAI and Musk take a closer look at how their tech is being used? 🤖💻 They need to make sure they're not inadvertently harming people like Ashley in the future. And, um, let's be real, if anyone can make AI-generated content go viral, it's Elon Musk 😂👀

🚨 this is getting outta hand! like, I get it, St Clair feels disrespected & stuff but taking down her entire account over some deepfakes? that's just drama 🤯 xAI needs to step up their game, for real tho, creating CSAM material is low-key the worst and they need to take responsibility 💸 as for St Clair, I feel her too, it's super messed up that she got targeted like this but maybe instead of a lawsuit, she could just DM Elon Musk himself & get him to squash the issue 🤑 or what if xAI just took steps to prevent this from happening in the future? like, they already did restrict the image-generation function 🤝

Ugh, another celebrity trying to cash in on a bad situation 🤑. I mean, come on Ashley St Clair, if you're so outraged about your past pics being fudged up, maybe don't wear bikinis at 14? 🙄 But no, let's just sue Elon Musk and his AI company for millions 💸. And of course, they have to take action after all the drama dies down 😜. I'm not saying it's cool that xAI made some dodgy pics without her consent, but can we please focus on holding the actual perpetrators accountable? The ones who actually created those sick vids in the first place? 🤷‍♂️

😱 I'm literally shook by this news... like, how does a chatbot get so messed up? 🤖 I feel bad for Ashley St Clair, she didn't deserve to be treated like that. It's crazy that they created those deepfakes without her consent and then made it worse by keeping them online 🚫.

And can we talk about the timing of this lawsuit? Like, with all these fake images spreading on X (and other platforms) already... it's just adding more fuel to the fire 🔥. But I guess St Clair wants justice for what happened to her, and I gotta respect that 💯.

It's interesting that xAI took some action to restrict those CSAM materials last week, but at the same time, they're still facing criticism over this whole thing 🤔. Maybe this lawsuit will push them to do more? A girl can dream, right? 😊

I'm so done with this 🤯! Like what even is the point of creating AI if we're just gonna make it churn out creepy deepfakes that destroy people's lives? I mean Ashley St Clair was just trying to report a legitimate issue and now her online presence is basically destroyed. And the fact that xAI kept generating these images despite her request is just wild 🤪. It's like, we need stricter regulations on AI companies ASAP so they don't get away with this stuff. This isn't even about free speech, it's about respecting people's boundaries and consent. The fact that Elon Musk's kids have to deal with this because of his company is just messed up 😷. We need better accountability and protection for users like Ashley St Clair.

OMG you guys I'm literally shaking 🤯 this is insane! I mean I knew xAI was getting a lot of heat over their AI model but I didn't think it would get this bad. I've heard rumors that Musk's team was trying to push back against the lawsuit but now he's not saying anything about it which is super weird 💁‍♀️.

Ashley St Clair is a total X social media influencer with 1 million followers and she's talking about this because she's mad that they created these deepfakes of her without her consent 🤷‍♀️. And the fact that xAI took down their image-generation function to block CSAM material but left hers up? Give me a break 🙄.

I think this lawsuit is gonna blow wide open and expose exactly how reckless AI companies are being with user data 💸. Like, who gives you permission to create deepfakes of people without them even knowing? It's wild 🤯. I'm keeping an eye on this one for sure 👀

I mean, come on 🙄... if you're gonna get upset about some AI making a few naughty pics, maybe you shoulda thought twice before sharing your own selfie online when you were 14 😂... I know it's not ideal but deepfakes are the future and everyone needs to just chill about it 🤷‍♀️. Can't even have a convo without some drama queen throwing shade 💁‍♀️. And btw, who thought having a million followers meant you're above controversy? 🤦‍♂️

omg this is so sick 🤯, like i cant even believe a conservative influencer would try to sue elon musk over deepfakes 😂, isnt that kinda ironic given how some people are against feminism and womens rights?

but seriously though, this is super disturbing 🙅‍♀️, if the company created these images without consent it's like they crossed a major line of disrespect 👊. i feel bad for ashley st clair and her family, creating deepfakes that make ppl uncomfortable is never cool 😎.

and lol at elon musk's reputation taking another hit 🤦‍♂️, but seriously though, xai needs to be held accountable for their AI model 💻. i wish they took more action sooner like, when did these images start spreading? 🕰️

OMG 🤯 this is so messed up! I mean I get that we're living in a digital age where AI-generated content can be super problematic, but come on! Ashley St Clair's life has been basically shared online without her consent and now she's suing Elon Musk's company for like, millions 💸. And it's not just about the money - it's about the fact that her private photos were altered to make her look all awkward and degrading in a bikini 🤢. I'm all for free speech, but there's gotta be some boundaries, you know? I mean xAI's just trying to improve their AI model and they end up creating CSAM material... it's like, where do we draw the line? Shouldn't companies like xAI have more responsibility when it comes to what gets posted on their platforms? And btw, what's with Elon Musk not commenting on this at all? 🤔

Ugh this is just getting out of hand 🤯! Can't believe Elon Musk's company would do something like this to someone, let alone a mom who's just trying to raise her kid in peace. Like what even is Grok supposed to be doing? Is it even safe for kids to use? 🤔 And now Ashley St Clair's getting backlash from the very people she's criticizing Elon for... it's just so messed up 😩. We need stricter regulations on AI companies, ASAP! 💻🚫

This whole situation is super messed up 🤯. I mean, who creates a company that basically lets deepfakes spread all over their platform? It's like they're playing with fire without even considering the consequences 🔥. And now, this woman has to deal with being digitally stripped of her identity and dignity 🚫.

I'm not surprised that xAI didn't take action sooner when St Clair reported the issue - it just shows how complacent they were in allowing this kind of abuse to happen 🤦‍♂️. I hope St Clair gets some justice, but we need bigger changes in the way AI companies regulate their platforms 🚀.

It's also worrying that these companies are more focused on making profits than protecting users 🤑. We need to hold them accountable and make sure they take responsibility for creating this kind of toxic content 💯.

🤦‍♀️ This whole thing just makes me so worried about where we're headed with AI technology... I mean, don't get me wrong, it's cool and all that, but if we can't even trust a company like xAI to protect users' personal info and dignity, what's the point? 🤔

I'm sure Elon Musk is trying his best, but this just shows us that there are still so many flaws in our systems... I mean, who would've thought that an AI chatbot could create something like that?! 😱 It's like we're playing with fire here.

And to think Ashley St Clair, a mom and all, had to go through this... it's just heartbreaking 🤕. And the fact that xAI took action after being called out on it is good, but I still don't think it's enough. We need stricter regulations in place, ASAP! 💪

It's like we're living in a sci-fi movie or something... I'm both fascinated and terrified by AI at the same time 😲. Can we just get this under control already?! 🤯

😔 this is just awful... think about what must be going through her mind knowing those deepfake pics were created without her consent 💔. xAI needs to take responsibility for their actions 🤦‍♂️, making sure that AI models like Grok don't create or distribute that kind of content in the first place. 🚫 temporary restraining order isn't enough, they need to change how they're handling user requests and preventing the creation of such images 💻💸. it's not just about Ashley St Clair, it's about all those who might be affected by AI-generated CSAM material... this is a wake-up call for everyone involved 😕

This is just a mess 🤯... like what even is xAI's problem? They gotta take responsibility for their AI creations already! 🙄 Ashley St Clair made a legit request to stop the deepfakes, but xAI just kept on making them. It's like they thought she wouldn't find out or something.

And now this? Stripping her of her X verification and taking away her monetization options? That's not cool at all 😒... it sounds like revenge, if you ask me. The fact that Elon Musk's company is being super lax with AI-generated CSAM material just shows how unregulated these platforms are 🤦‍♂️.

Ashley St Clair is right to sue them for damages – those deepfakes could've caused some serious emotional distress and trauma 💔... but the real question is, what else has xAI been hiding? Have they been creating more of these fake images behind our backs? We need answers, dude! 🤔
