Native American actor says she was detained by ICE officers who said tribal ID 'looked fake'

I'm totally bummed out hearing this 🤕. Like, can't we just get along and respect each other's identities already? 🙄 The fact that an actress is being detained because of her tribal ID card is just, like, so frustrating. It's not even about the politics, it's about basic human decency. We gotta take a stand against racism and profiling, you know? 💪 And yeah, I'm all for our Native American communities taking steps to protect themselves. Like, we need more awareness and education on tribal citizenship and cultural identity. It's time to break down those barriers and build some bridges 🌉.

ICE is getting outta control 🚨😡 Elaine Miles' story is so messed up she's too scared to leave her house alone... what if they come for her kids? 🤔👧 This isn't an isolated incident either, other Native Americans are going through the same thing. It's like they're supposed to carry their tribal ID around with them all the time just in case ICE comes knocking 😒. And what really gets me is that Miles and others were told their IDs "looked fake" like that's a valid reason to detain someone 🤷‍♀️. It's just another example of systemic racism and ignorance about Native American culture...

omg 😱 this is just heartbreaking... i mean, who expects to be stopped by ICE agents on the street? and not even accepted because your ID looks 'fake' 🤷‍♀️ idk what's more frustrating - the fact that she was detained or that they made her call the enrollment office number herself 📞 like, shouldn't they just believe her when she says she's from a tribe?! 🤝 it's not about being 'fair' or not, it's about basic human respect and understanding. and to make matters worse, this isn't an isolated incident - there are so many others who have been through similar experiences 🌎 what's even more infuriating is that we still don't have better solutions to address these issues... we need more awareness & education about tribal citizenship and cultural identity! 💡
 
omg thats soooo not right 🤯! i mean what even is a tribal ID? why would ppl refuse 2 accept it? its just another example of how messed up our system is 🙄 ICE needs 2 get educated on all the different types of IDs & tribal citizenships... meanwhile miles should be able 2 walk down the street without fear of being detained 😩. im so worried about her safety, i hope she gets support from ppl in power 💪
